Is this what is happening when the textures flicker blue in DX12 mode? The game is alternating to the bump map for some reason? Any idea how that can be fixed?

It's entirely possible, however I cant say for sure. It could be material related.

Hopefully I get some time this weekend to dive into it a bit.

Open Fmodel and go to this directory.

CsLXcld.jpg

 

Right click > Export Data, then find the folder you chose to export to in the Settings tab.

 

Give the mod folder a name like below with the same structure onwards:

Drag and drop that 500-carcols folder onto the shown .bat below, and move the newly created .pak file into your ~mod folder in GTA 3/VC/SA

The shot in your mod sounds predominantly in the right side, you need to convert that to MONO, because it must be on stereo with more volume on the right channel.

Please, has anyone found a way to mod the AI's accuracy/gun damage back to the original? I get blasted by couple street ballas like they the FBI..

It's not about skills. It's just that their dmg is increased by a lot in the DE compared to the original.

How did you extracted all the uassets ? UModel gives me an error each time I try to use it :yee:

I haven't figured out how to do that yet. The ones you see there are extracted from all the TXD files used for Classic III NHDT.

For anyone it may help, I bulk renamed the old textures to add T_ and _BC using this and then bulk created normals by following these.

You can extract textures using the umodel_gta_trilogy.exe found on the mixmods website utilities section.

 

I have had success with that particular program, as well as Fmodel (so you can preview the textures.)

I don't even know why they had to change the amount of damage they deal to you. It honestly is a total pain in the ass. Not only that, but why'd they keep the aggressive drivers from the PC version instead of using the driver behavior from the PS2 version? These 2 changes are what annoys me the most in SA, bugs aside.

Maybe because GsG didnt gave a sh*t about the quality of their remakes ? :kekw:

 

I mean okay they ported it to UE4, but almost everything else was made in a lazy way (except the vegetation :yee:) : Upscaled 99% of the textures using some AI, same for most of the models (including the nut from the Tuff Nut restaurant), broken models, some are awful as well, mobile HUD instead of making a new one, litteraly no fog, "minigames" are much easier (eg: the lowrider contest where you press one key every few seconds), the damage you're talking about as well as the agressive traffic.. The list could be much longer but that's not what this thread is about :ph34r:
