I use FModel to browse the .pak, you'll find .dat files under : \GameFace\Content\OriginalData\GTASA\data

 

At the moment, I don't know if all original files under this folder are used in Definitive Edition version...

 Finally after my days of trying and failing ~Leaf~ on the DE modding discord helped me get my mod working and now I at least know I can mod this game cause it was really feeling like my copies were cursed or something lol but yeah very simple first mod just darkened Claude's hair a bit cause I felt the DE's claudes hair was too light, idk if anyone would want it but if anyone does I'll drop it for them

Ok, so I've used FModel to extract some files that i'd like to edit.

 

I worked on fixing up the carcols.dat (Big Smoke's car color had a typo, there were 2 cars with missing commas preventing some colors from loading etc)

and also edited cargrp.dat for my personal liking

 

Now, HOW do I re-insert them into gta.pak ? FModel can only extract from what I can tell.

@iNSANE666 is the rain mod thats on mixmods yours? that version seems to be bigger than yours 74kb instead of 37kb and also includes an optional version with no splash effects for the floor just don't wanna download it if its stolen or w.e

loading files as 4.26 does not work for me at all, am I missing something, whatever I try to open the files in i get no results

There is a mod on Mixmods for that. They restored Flash FM, V-Rock and Wildstyle for VC. They will restore the rest of VC and then SA. Give it a couple of days.

I don't know exactly but it's proven that it's 4.26 I tested it as well and I can explore files with no issues

If you ever Get around to doing Head radio Could You Perhaps Add Durans Durans to whom it may concern? Because The start of that song always kinda Reminded me of the Credit music to gta 3 it Fits pretty seamlessly That Lyric too "Don't claim you understand -

Ragdoll mod - i had a nice ragdoll mod for my original copy of san andreas. does anyone know if i can download the same mod for the new defintive version. if not can someone help me make one? 

 

going back to these dated animations is a real hard pill to swallow, sure many of us can agree

Is there anyone willing to replace the loading screen for me please ?

 

I downloaded UE 4.26(.2?), made a new project and copyied some DE's uassets into the project's directory to find which one to change, but they're not shown in UE so I dont know what to do.

Basically, I made the 2004's loading screen in higher quality (using artworks from the wikia and one discovered here by Ash_735), to have the DE's version looking a lot closer to the original one.

Yep ! To have it instead of the blue wallpaper with the Vinewood girl. Just like in the original game (Except the Nvidia and HD Eax intros that are gone)

 

The 2 backgrounds (this one and the main menu one) are almost the same so it would be nice to have 2 differents for this reason as well
