I've not played the Definitive Edition yet (I'll give it a bash when I get home from work) - but it has to be PC for me (although the helicopter & boat controls on PS2 are far superior to the PC's)

The definitive edition (PS5).

 

Still have my OG PS2 version I’ve had since like 2002 and the PS4 version, but the definitive edition has already made them feel obsolete IMO.

 

Even if it’s only been a day or so after experiencing superior draw distance, lighting, reflections etc I have no desire to go back to the PS2 architecture.

The Xbox Double Pack version was absolutely stunning. By far my favourite.

 

Soundtrack fully intact. All dialogue and missions intact. Improved graphics while still being entirely faithful to the original. Additions here and there which also compliment the original.

The original PC version. As flawed it might be, you can address most of its issues with mods and patience.

 

I agree the Definitive Edition looks kinda cool, though. But I'm very nostalgic for the original version so I'm biased towards it. Without Vice City I probably wouldn't have played gems like GTA IV or most of the Mafia series. Not to mention the influence it had on my musical choices.

Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder...

Technically the soundtrack wasn’t fully intact as Running In The Night by Lionel Richie had been cut out by that point. (Sorry to be pedantic)

As long as I still have an old Sanyo CRT, component cables and a PS2, that'll be my definitive edition. A close second being reVC on the PC.
