That was during the Da Nang Thang, I think it has a special timecyc. Kind of reminded me of New Austin at night in RDR2.

They don't look the same not because of the age, but because they didn't bother to change the original model from ps2 GTA SA lmao (they did it worst with the new horrendous The Sims texture work lol). It's not age, it's just the lazyness and the lack of care of the developers of this sh*tty mobile game.

Also really appreciate the garage additions and how they also added stuff to garages you can't usually access, like the Four Dragons'.

Fixed rain and Fog mods installed. Looks nice without them, but couldn't stop noticing the lack of fog and shiny rain on the screen.

I'm really glad that you enjoy this version of the game - I really am. And as we can see in this thread, there are situations and spots where this game looks beautiful.

 

But this specific picture is just awful. You are in Las Vanturas, in the middle of the desert, and you can see San Fierro, Chiliad, the forest like they're just some neighbourhoods of LV. No sense of scale and depth. Not even fog can fix this - they really, really need to reduce the draw distance in future patches (which will hopefully come).

 

I just wanted to say that after seeing this specific screenshot, I know that this thread is not about discussing the games' quality.

No, I agree, it needs distance fog at the very least and I can't understand its omission, I just felt like posting the image. I'm personally in two minds about it, as if you add too much fog it will look weird, like the weather is always foggy, but this isn't good, and it's even worse when flying as you just... see the whole map lmao.

 

I'm enjoying the games because there's a lot of good in them, some of it that I think people are missing, but I also have a good set of criticisms and faults I'll go through in more detail eventually, that make this not be as Definitive as it could be.

You don't get it, the thing is not if is the same model or not, is that they didn't bother to update the model as they did in GTA3 Demastered, they just plastered the playmobil new texture onto the old ps2 3d model.

It's not just for a cutscene. You have the option to KILL Millie and steal the keycard by breaking into her house where you can look around the room.

There's really something attractive about early 90s aesthetics that everytime I design a few of my safehouses in GTA Online, I'd base it around the interiors in GTA SA.

 

Also, I love collecting 90s vehicles. Maybe I just played too much GTA SA. XD
