I didn't find Michelle but here it is Katie and Barbara

Katie straight up looks like the default bald female GTA Online model that spawns in from the trainers.

Seeing how lazily those clowns from Grove Street Games did these "remasters", I'm glad I hadn't spent a cent. Their approach to this project is outright insulting and disrespectful to these classics, desecrating even; these masterpieces deserved much, much more.

And if you're right about the pictures not saving, that is yet another disappointment in a row, albeit I'm not surprised at all at this point. Those clowns deserve to be disbanded and shut down for good. Unreal Engine 4 pulls almost the entire weight here, they did next to nothing to improve some stuff from the originals.

I spent some cash on the iOS version way back 2014 and I didn't find it to be that much different to the PC version other than the shiny character textures. I hope Rockstar learns from this and assigns their next remasters to Bluepoint or Hangar studio instead. It'd save their faces.

The countryside looks amazing, it is just sad that the FPS goes down too, lol.

Must have been Cell Loading getting awfully "translated" into Unreal Engine. As we can see, they have the entire map loaded and visible. This is why they should have lowered the draw distance. If they wanna persist with the increased draw distance, at least they should do it with a circumference the size of Los Santos. They're wasting a lot of RAM.

I have tried everything, overclocked my GPU harder than ever. Went from 1,000 MHz on the core clock to 1,500 MHz and it improved the lows in FPS from 47 to 58, good enough but then some particular foliage pushes it down to 35. There is no way I can remove that stuff. With the vehicle light stuff, you can at least put it at low and get good FPS.

I should have gotten a trophy called 'Good Samaritan' or something for this, poor fellas chatting on freaking tracks of all places have been spared:

My first 2 hours in the game:

Almost drowned the first time I entered water, the controls seem very weird. I couldn't get back after I dived in because everytime I came up CJ dived back under...

Also found this weird english guy dug himself in the sand on the beach...

Then apparently he changed clothes and went over to Cluckin Bell to have a burger...

Fog found.

mguuavC.png

The fog somehow look dirty enough to pass for a smog or even sandstorm.

Should have been more white/blueish in the countryside, sandstormish in Bone county and Tierra Robada, and smog in the cities, especially Los Santos.

One of the more defined female NPC's in the game – why didn't they use this quality model for Denise instead of some round-headed Cocomelon lookalike 🤔😏

Since GSG are good at digging there own plots, though, its only befitting we can finally stand in the grave with them (instead of just floating above them.)

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I've noticed there seems to be smog in the countryside but less/none in the city. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Fog could be used in the city but for far off areas like Mount Chilliad while you are at Grove Street or to hide the LS tower while you're at Catalina's house but cities themselves wouldn't have as much fog as the countryside due to it being an open area.

San Fierro was always foggy, even in real life. The ones in LS is more like a haze or smog which ironically rarely happens in GTA SA, unlike real life or GTA V.

Looks like screen space reflections, most suitable for performance. You need to enable Planar (low detail) or above.

I think you already know this and I don't know why I am telling you this but it's too late now so may as well leave it like this. I have made this awkward now...

Isn't the setting for Car Reflections only though?

It's not awkward, don't worry.

You're talking about car reflections, no? Environmental reflections work OK.

Okay, I have the non-official version and everything works fine. I can't patch it so that's good as I have some cut songs as well.

My boy lookin' like they ripped him straight from Sims 2:

This playthrough I really took my sweet time and thoroughly enjoyed paying attention to details, so for example I did quite a few burglaries between story missions. My favorite neighborhood is definitely Richman/Mulholland area. In 16 years of playing, I've never taken time to notice how much effort R* put into those areas that I feel sorry for myself right now. It's a crime there wasn't more storyline-related stuff going on up there. Here are a few cool interior pics of some reaaally sweet houses/mansions:

Too bad the game has problems with brightness, gets really strenuous on your eyes in most interiors at night.

Here's one pic from the outside:

And some random nice outdoor pics:

Too bad the game doesn't save user photos on disk, I've taken quite a few sweet photographs with ingame camera, but oh well.

Also, does someone know what's the deal with this random corona in the corn fields in Blueberry Acres? Seems like a bug. Also I love those corn plants, they breathe so much life into the landscape. This area always seemed empty in the original game.

Some sort of photo mode as one of the "modern gameplay features" would've been nice. Now I have to screenshot and crop these and PS4 pro graphics can't really take much zooming. Lot's of interesting locations, like this architectural building complex I would like to take proper photos of.

So sad that there won't be another take on San Fierro in my lifetime, GTA 6 is probably going to be set in VC and none of us will be alive to see GTA 7.
