ORANGE 12 ! 🧡

Carl with that 'stache looks like he jumped straight out of a 70's Blaxploitation Film... corny in a good way.

My PC isn't the best (thanks to chip shortage lmao), but I get around 70 FPS (in Grove Street, just checked now). I'm not on max settings though, turned down shadows and some other things. I have to say, it still looks amazing, you should turn down some settings, too tbh.

Speaking of which, what is the best possible setting for 'Car Reflections'?

cubemap looks the best but runs like absolute dog, screen looks the sharpest but is the least accurate (only things reflected will be whats already on your screen like enb mods), planar is probably the best, not as nice looking as cube map but runs better and still looks good.

I also recommend turning off volumetric clouds and switching them to material, you cant fly into the clouds like i thought you could and they look really bad, especially on vice city. Not to mention they are glitchy and take fps away

Can you show Katie and Michelle? Denise looked  horrendous and I want to see what developers did to those two

I do not want to waste money on this mess

I didn't find Michelle but here it is Katie and Barbara

Hm, Michelle should spawn in autoschool, in room with TV that launches lessons. She does not  appear immediately though. She always spawned with 2-3 delay.Unless Defective Edition broke something

Finding positives in my experience.. I've never felt so immersed playing basketball in the Grove, felt like I was really kickin' it in the hood (unrelated, but, did they nerf the NRG challenge? I passed it first time, it usually takes at least 5 tries lol).

Enjoying the views, I like this part of the map in the remaster

People in San Andreas now use Windows XP, or at least have a keyboard with a Windows branded Start button in 1992.

Los Santos owns the Las Venturas Police Department.

I overclocked my GPU and went from 45 to 65 FPS. Just saying, this game benefits from overclocking.

@SquoniX Hey man great photos, glad to see you enjoying the game. I'm also having a blast rediscovering it with these visuals.

I was wondering do you happen to know where are the user photos (taken with ingame cameta) stored in DE? Does it save them somewhere on the disk or do they exclusively get uploaded to SocialClub?

What gpu you got? How much did you overclock?

R9 280X, something between a GTX 960 and a 970. I added 100 MHz to the core clock.

I used MSI Afterburner. Use it carefully and watch some tutorials.

Thanks, buddy.

I'm not using the official version if you uh... catch my drift. Even if I was even then it would not matter as those pictures aren't saved at all.

Hell, I don't know if your homies can take a selfie for you either. You could test that but if that is also removed then I wouldn't be too surprised.

You will have to screenshot unfortunately. Windows + Print Screen.

Oh I caught that drift on a molecular level - you see, I'm somewhat of an "arrrr" man myself. :shillkek:

Seeing how lazily those clowns from Grove Street Games did these "remasters", I'm glad I hadn't spent a cent. Their approach to this project is outright insulting and disrespectful to these classics, desecrating even; these masterpieces deserved much, much more.

And if you're right about the pictures not saving, that is yet another disappointment in a row, albeit I'm not surprised at all at this point. Those clowns deserve to be disbanded and shut down for good. Unreal Engine 4 pulls almost the entire weight here, they did next to nothing to improve some stuff from the originals.

Still the base game is so good, plus these visuals and various details breathe a new life into it and I'm really enjoying my playthrough. I'm currently in the Badlands chapter, last mission King in Exile. SA is just so damn good and riddled with content, they just don't make games like that anymore. The amount of stuff R* packed into it nowadays would be a base game plus like 10 DLCs you'd pay for additionally.

As they say in the ex-Yugoslavia regions: "These (currently) governing idiots aren't even capable of painting what Tito constructed" - the same could be said for GSG, they can't even touch up what R* made 17 years ago even with all the hardware limitations of that time. Ugh. :v:

The main thing I can still appreciate is that they at least added parallax interiors and changed the facades.

The countryside looks amazing, it is just sad that the FPS goes down too, lol.
