GTA San Andreas: Definitive Edition - Modding Wishlist

sixpence did a similar thread for GTA III. Here are some things I think really need work.

 

WISHLIST:

• Fixed faces
  • Many faces, particularly side-characters have terrible faces.. way too cartoony.
• PS2 Color Correction
  • A color-correction that makes the experience more like the original, with more of a warm/orange tone.
• Modern fog/focus blur on distant scenery
  • A lot of people mention how the clarity of distant scenery kills the sense of scale. I'd like to be able to see Mount Chiliad from everywhere, but not every detail on it.. a GTA 5-esque focus blur/fog would be perfect.

100% Agreed. Especially the last one, it shouldn't be the same as in the original but more like a GTA V style subtle blur/fog.

- Increase in the number of peds and vehicles on the roads, more lives in general..

For the rest, I wait to have the PC version, and if possible the file ped.cfg and handling.cfg as well as see what the cities of the different GTA DE

mY wISHLIST:

- withdraw the suit, because modders didn't do anything wrong and just tried to maintain the game and keep it playable in 2k21.

 

- True Texture Patch: replace all textures with the original master textures that modders found over the last few years.

- Uncompressed SFX Pack: WDS has not been able to find the master sounds, although Westar Music still offers them on their website.

- Draw Distance Fix: Restore the original draw distance, so Mt. Chilliad and everything else is no longer visible from Ganton.

- Ragdoll Mod: Animated fall anims in 2k21, srsrly?

- SilentPatch for DE: because the game is obviously bugged as the vanilla PC version.

- Framerate Vigilante: because it's still based on RenderWare and all the FPS bugs still persist.

- Character Texture Fix: To get rid of the Fortnite Design

- Fixed Carcols: Someone at R* made a small mistake that caused Big Smokes car to turn blue ingame.

- Restored Props: Restore objects missing from the vanilla PC version

- MakeGTAGreatAgain: Get rid of the childish HUD design that WDS created and restore it with true HD hud textures.

- I Don't Need Instructions: Remove the intructions shown on the right side of the screen, since we all know how to play the game.

Some from me (others already mentioned by others)

-Some of the Unused Content Cut from the Original.(Skateboard,Unused Dialogues,Peds,Map changes. or features)
-Classic GYM/other minigames System. (Cut that Mobile version/Journalist friendly crap)
-Some of the Pedestrians also needs some fixing.

but wonder if how the game will be modable.in the future.

I hope somebody out there is actually confident enough to start working on a Silent Patch equivalent for the Defintive Edition.

 

Not all hope is lost just because Strauss and his cronies began going after a lot of good GTA mods.

Keep in mind that GSG will roll out fixes themselves. Fixes to bugs that are obvious bugs (e.g., wooden bridge disappearing in some places) but I'd like to have fixes/mods for the things that they don't consider as a problem, such as:

 

1. HUD Customizer: The weapon icon is just way too big and the location name font is a bit too small than it should be. Mod to customize wasted screen or restore to original anim would be great.

2. Disable Shiny Characters: Make them not so shiny. And turn Young Reece back to Old Reece

3. Disable characters emitting shadows: It looks awful and I don't understand why'd they think it was a good idea to add that

Stuff i want have been already mentioned here but one thing that stands out, excially with the new lightning is missing working indicators and such. And there is a general problem that they didn't implemented tailights who can work at the same time at brakelights. Which causes the Trilogy games to have no working taillights on many vehicles until you brake (which wasn't a problem in the original)

Solution: GTA modding websites should operate the same way as pirate software websites. Then if TakeTwo and Rockstar are complaining, people can just ignore them, and tell them "go f*ck yourself".

- Cars that don't despawn once you look away and also cars should not appear right in front of you.

 

- aggressive driving and pile ups on the highway. they all stop on time now and there is very little chaos on the highway. I miss the pile ups from the OG edition. would love a mod for this!
