Lol @ these kids i see on youtube complaining about saint marks after sals death and in general how hard the games are. This is gaming, this isnt meant to hand hold you, theyre easy asf to get ahold of once you actually play. Games now just never present a challenge like these do

I also see kids on Twitter complaining about how the game is dogsh*t while their first experience is the remaster and not the originals.

I was going to complete the whole trilogy again after playing the originals recently seeing as the DE received a bunch of patches now, but holy sh*t, they've barely fixed anything. The DE for III and VC had the most potential but I actually gave up like a quarter of the way through III because I was having such a terrible experience. Visuals are absolutely atrocious compared to my modded Xbox HD version. 80% of the assets in DE look atrocious because of the lazy upscaled work they did. Not to mention the new collision bugs and whatnot.

 

I get that the old games were kinda broken in some ways but what the f*ck were Rockstar thinking here? At this point these versions should probably just be yeeted from existence because it would likely take another two years to completely fix everything and no one knows if GSG is even capable of such a task. Maybe we'll get a full on remake of these games in another 10-20 years lol instead of this abomination of a remaster.

It's still a pile of trash. The patch they recently released has fixed very little aside from some texture replacements. It's even managed to make things worse in parts, as this video demonstrates (from 9:13 onwards).

 

 

Meanwhile, good luck with them even bothering to fix the magnitude of other issues.

 

 

In all honesty, I can't say I blame them much for half-assing these fixes. Maybe they realise it's an unsalvageable product.

 

Like you said, they'd have been better off just removing it from sale and forgetting it ever happened. This bastardised form is not how these games deserve to be remembered.

In my opinion, the worst problem of the game is the rain, which is really a disaster, nothing is clear anymore The problem of swimming is also a big problem Rockstar gave an interesting reason for this problem that the sea of Azadi city is polluted although this is an excuse

This has been patched in the meantime. It should not be as bad as it was at release.

The lack of darkness in the sky and mist and fog other than that I think it's great !! I played GTA III when it first came out in 2001 BTW
