It's annoying that Claude can't bail out of a moving car... still, Rockstar, Y U NO LET BAIL OUTS FROM CARS

1. GTA SA Main menu sound in GTA 3

2. GTA VC button in GTA 3

3. Rain particles look really terrible

4. In 'Introduction' cutscene, crash zooming in to blue rumpo is not applied (Could be bug)

5. The intensity of headlamps is too high

6. Faces look too dark

7. In 'Introduction' cutscene, the interior of Enforcer is completely black

8. In cutscenes, new FOV setting is applied after each cut. So there's like 1 or 2 frames that has weird camera setting.

9. Street lamps' lights are too narrow

10. Physics applied to entities like traffic lights are really weird. It looks like sponge. (even disappeared into the ground in the video I watched.)

Is it me or do the roads look far TOO clean? Really takes away the gritty atmosphere III had.

Also in the cutscenes, the animations are janky as heck. You can make out where one cut stops and another starts.

I've thought that since the screenshot were released, the roads in 3 look like something from a mobile game, just a solid gray texture

Two little ones I've noticed right off the bat:

- Characters who are supposed to walk in gameplay based cutscenes (Misty in Drive Misty for Me, 8Ball in the intro, Mike Lips) now RUN in those cutscenes. It looks like they're all in a rush to get from A to B

- I've noticed a couple of LCS posters in the Portland Subway, instead of updated GTA III ones

I think III entirely lost its rough and gritty atmosphere. They totally got rid of the green and blue color filters in the world and cutscenes. This colorful mess looks like some miniature playmobile world. The streets look like plastic, because they have no definition at all and the cars look like toys. So weird.

Cleaner than GTA III (neither newspapers, nor leaves moving around), but not as clean as that picture (too low quality stream).

 

Here an screenshot with better quality (you can see the texture of the road, and some leaves but they are static). For me, the streets seem freshly paved.

EDIT: the leaves are not static 100%. They doesn't move in real time, but they are randomly spawned each time you enter a zone.

 

And now that I realized.... that white line on the right over the leaves.... 🤣😥

🤣 I feel the same. But the original game also have a "flat paint" in that buildings, so in the remaster they have done the same: a flat paint in the same locations as GTA III, but with a very small roughness.

To me, the most annoying thing graphically (at this time): the rain particles (the ones that falls with no inertia, and the ones falls over the floor splattered in a perfect pattern...)

 

And sometimes, the light of the explosions in cutscenes don't fill the entire screen.

My couple complaints are that some of the character models look a little too cartoony and that the weapons look weird (especially the AK-47, M16, and Rocket Launcher) in the NPCs hands

PC performance is pretty bad. I think consoles suffer from some of that too.

 

I get between 30 and 100+ FPS depending on what's happening on the screen with my GTX 1080 Ti.

That would be dumb. I think it would run better on newer hardware but I vastly prefer the higher frame rate.

EDIT: I've moved the content of this post to the pinned bugs and glitches topic..

 

My only real criticism so far is very little fixing of the script bugs that have been there since 2001. It really irks me in fact.

I'm hearing some ambient sounds actually.

 

The thing that bugs me is the camera recentering itself whilst you are using the mouse. It's probably a console thing but it makes no sense with the mouse since it didn't happen in the original game.

Just figured out ambience is tied to music, which I have switched off.

Everyone’s else’s games look really good mines just too dark almost unplayable and I don’t want to mess with my tv since all other games are fine

The fact that the tank cheat doesn't f*cking work. How do you f*ck that up? You try to use it and it fails, stating "no place to put the vehicle".

Amazing how a 20yo game with a mostly cosmetic remaster is optimized about as well as a modern Ubisoft game. How do you f*ck something like that up? 🤣
