I just think R* would have relisted those versions when they posted their "apology", like what they did with the original PC versions on the Launcher. It sucks since, aside from the framepacing issues, the original PS2 on PS4 versions were the most faithful way to play the Trilogy on modern consoles. But it seems like console players will forever be stuck with the DE versions. I never thought R* would stoop this low, but here we are... There are some talks about new PS+ tiers and in one of them according to bloomberg and some insiders could be ps1,ps2, psp classics library of games. I just set RetroArch up on my Series X and can confirm that VC and SA run surprisingly well (the latter has a visual bug that wasn't fixed in the RetroArch version of PCSX2, but nothing game-breaking EDIT: You have to turn on "Auto Flush" in the hacks menu to fix this; I haven't tested it yet, but the description mentions that there's a performance hit if you do this). For anyone who has a Series console and doesn't mind setting up RetroArch, I'd argue that this is a far better experience than R*'s own "Definitive Editions". I'm tempted to just dust off the old PS2 version as that is the quintessential experience where all the nostalgia comes from for me, but quite interested in this supposed definitive version and whether there are any marked improvements? Had the PS4 version and quite enjoyed that, would redownload that if I could but doubt it's still listed, from what I've read in this thread its not... Just play original PS2 version if you have it, it's the most complete version of all versions of the game. PC version lacks a lot of PS2 stuff which can be added through mods and other methods but it's time consuming. As for other version just skip them, not worth at all. I mean you can play DE but for me it's a downgrade in every regard except for the graphics. It lacks songs, they censored some stuff and it has the same bugs as PC version and some mobile ones too. I can assure you will need to remove nothing from this mod. Even if you wanna change weapons or vehicle skins, you can do that easily by replacing the files in modloader with a couple of clicks. Dagger2025 Posted April 24 Share Posted April 24 Anyone know if the latest update disabled some of the cheats? The cheats I used, on the Switch version, worked well before the recent update.
