A comprehensive list of issues that I have noticed (will update as I see more):

 

  • Draw distance is too long, should have used fog to hide it
  • Gym mechanics are bugged as CJ can use the highest weight (even 320 lbs) at first as opposed to starting off low
  • Unused red marker in Flint County
  • Mobile/console ports had some vehicles with double wheels but are missing in this edition
  • Game crashes randomly (maybe fixed by the day 1 patch)
  • Weird texture bugs at times, 99% of the times, it is all fine
  • Asset streaming in forest and desert areas is immersion-breaking especially on performance mode on consoles
  • Old speedrun strats are still present, should have been polished by now
  • OG Loc's mouth isn't synced in one line in the mission Life's a Beach
  • Cesar Vialpando's first lowrider minigame mission has fewer button selections as compared to the older editions
  • Kendl's smile in the mission King in Exile is overstretched for 2-3 seconds
  • Nitros and fire effects on a damaged hydra need improvements, they look off
  • The main factory building has no smoke coming out of its chimneys located on the Flint-Red County border
  • Some moving props like the chickens, Lil' Probe'Inn's spaceship, Sprunk bottle advertisements, etc. don't move anymore
  • Some vegetation is floating in the air a few meters above the ground in areas like Tierra Robada

Vice City Definitive Edition seems to have these issues:
Problems loading textures of some buildings in the distance
Texture loading slow and buggy after respawning
Cars seem to blow up way too quickly in some scenarios
Sometimes can't even get out of the car before it explodes.
San Andreas sounds should not be present on GTA 3 and GTA Vice City's menus and they should have their own sounds/cursor.

-When wearing some hats (Bandana and Skully etc...), CJ's beard disappears.  

 

-Pro-Laps Rimmers Jacket has the same texture as Rockstar Jacket that can be purchased at the same store, and the original texture is not displayed.  

 

-In the OG Loc mission "House Party", when I selected replay from the checkpoint after failing the mission, I found a problem that the character could not be moved.  

This still happens after restarting the game and I don't know if the same thing will happen on other missions.

People who can't save, do you have special characters in your Windows username? If so, this could be similar to an issue that popped up with GTA V and RDR2, it was fixed shortly after release.

Some criticisms i have after playing 3 missions and no exploring....

- Cutscene character models are really weird (CJs eyes are really shiny, everyone looks like beefed up versions of the PS2 models, they're not really "rounded" or natural looking, CJs big hands are weird)

- Pause menu not a continuous scroll (pressing down at the last selection doesnt make it go back to the top)

- Cutscenes have noticeably long loadtimes (you see a black screen for 5-10 seconds) (the CJ leaving his house cutscene transitioning into Sweet? waiting for him outside) (robbing pizza place after getting a haircut, black screen when CJ leaves the pizza place) (why? when we're up 2 generations of consoles since the PS2)

- Really dark cutscenes (often can't see character faces, sometimes the whole scene is dark and all you can see is the background)

 

i will say this, the actual gameplay plays really nice (from the little time ive played), i love the reflections/lighting, overall has a nice lick of paint

Sprint doesn't work as it should.

 

In original San Andreas, you would hold A/X to sprint, and then tap A?X to sprint faster. In "The Definitive Edition" Holding A/X does nothing. There is only one level of sprint now.

Sprint is also delayed by a couple of seconds after button input. This affects all 3 games.

Have the mouse acceleration problem in all the 3 games.

No, not yet. I'll post up once there is more news about that. Latest statement was:

I made a massive clip with bugs, they are in order of appearance.

Bug 1 [Script Issue]: In the mission OG Loc, after killing the Vago (prior to arriving at the destination) and then seeing the OG Loc cutscene traffic disappeared. I had to go to Grove Street pick up Sweet's car to drive to the Cluckin Bell. ??

 

Bug 2  [Graphical Issue]: Rain Opacity is ridiculously high. I can't see anything, specially in dark environments.

Bug 3 [Unsupported GFX API Related Issue]: At the end of the clip, buildings in (ironically) Blueberry appear literally Blue. (DX12 issue, unsupported) ??

 

Bug 4 [Script/Model Issue]: While attempting to enter one of the Inside Track Betting stores in Montgomery the door did not move when CJ tried to open it. *

 

Bug 5 [VFX/Prop Issue]: When hit by a car, one of the tree props in the Market area goes to Oblivion. It just vanishes with a mere particle green explosion effect. *

 

Bug 6 [Mapping Issue]: There is a tree sticking inside a parking lot near Santa Maria beach. *

Lifes A Beach: the colour doesn't co-ordinate with the score, notice how I'm maintaining a perfect score but the colour seems random whether it's a 'bad' 'ok' 'great', they get registered as 'great'

UPDATE: Someone pointed out that each arrow direction has it's own colour, it doesn't represent how good the timing is. I think that's a bit dumb and misleading, but it's a design choice, not a bug.

 

Madd Doggs Rhymes, the enemies on the minimap aren't showing which direction they're facing like they're supposed to

Wow, they completely erased the rhythm out of the rhythm mini game by getting rid of 70 percent of the button prompts. What is the fun in pushing a button every 3 seconds? Back then i grooved to the music and had a blast with these mini games. This is terrible and absurd.
