Beginner Questions GTA Online

Sorry, but I have to be pestering you with a couple of GTA Online greenhorn questions here:

- if I create a closed online session with my friend and I see a quest by phone / SMS / email, for example, my friend is not in the quest. For example, I have to look for a person, but my friend neither sees the yellow circle, nor does he get a reward. He's even on my crew. Is that correct?

- If so, can you only play jobs together that I invite him to? So it doesn't really matter if you walk around in an online world together, co-op missions are just the jobs?

speed test - I get a call from the comic shop about a mission, but I don't get any indication of where the comic shop is. Do I have to accept the mission with any special key so that the start of the mission including map marking etc. is displayed? I feel really em  showboxbarrassed to ask such questions, but I have no idea how it works.

- Do I take all bonuses and earnings from a closed online world with my friend to the next normal online world with other players? We actually only play GTA together, so we want to play everything in co-op if possible. But somehow I got the feeling that the game wasn't designed for that. At least not if you don't play jobs, but want to do the jobs in the game world.

Yes you will need to invite your friend to any job you start.

You need to travel around the map looking for action figures for the comic shop.  You just collect them.  There are 100 of them. Just search YouTube for guides on where to find them.

Everything you own and have stays with you no matter what type of lobby you are in.

I'm Level 200 now. Trust me,your questions are going to be stupid-but keep asking them. The people on this forum know this game; they know they were all Newbs once too and are happy to help.

Keep asking questions!

The game is massive. They are many ways to play it. Some play to see how much money they can accumulate. Some play just missions. Some play to buy all the outfits. Some play to fight other Players. Some, the worse of the worse, play to try and ruin the gam for others (they a psycho little A-Holes called Griefers.

"so we want to play everything in co-op if possible. But somehow I got the feeling that the game wasn't designed for that."

I play Solo and I think the game is designed for more than one Player. It doesn't feel Solo friendly to me.

I second the whole "dont worry about it and keep asking questions", there's A LOT of stuff in this game and nobody expects new players to be able to understand / find it all right away.

- Assuming the first question relates to a freemode 'quest' (something that happens in the big city without loading screens in between separating you from your friend) then you need to be VIP/CEO/MC & you need to invite them to that for them to be able to see your 'quest', VIP is something you can get from interaction menu (M on default) and CEO/MC are something you can get after you buy a office or motorcycle clubhouse. VIP is probably the way to go.

- You can only play jobs with your friend if you invite them to that, unless (like above describes) this is a freemode job/mission/quest.

- The mission from the comic shop relates to collectibles, they want you to collect 100 action figures across the map, once you have them all you get a marker on the comic shop to pick up a special outfit for your efforts (meanwhile, during collection, you get a little xp and money for each action figure you pick up) You can find a counter for your action figures in interaction menu (M on default) and then go to "inventory / collectibles" or something (cant check the exact names as gta:o is down at the moment, but its something like that) also worth mentioning is you can find many guides online on where the action figures are, like this one

- Everything you earn/unlock/etc gets saved on your player profile, restarting the game / changing sessions / etc should not matter at all. That said the game does need time to actually save stuff, you can see little rotating circle icons bottom-right when its saving (usually only takes like a second and is automated for 99% of the game) if you ever have to hurry-quit and are not sure if it saved the last thing you did, a good trick is to use interaction menu (again, M on default) then style, then change something about your characters look (for example go into accessories and put on some glasses, or switch outfit (you can save outfits at clothing store desks or in your apartment closet) after u close interaction menu it should show yellow save-circle)

The one other thing to mention is to just call every mission race etc a "job" and anything that happens in freemode is a "freemode job", using terms as quests and missions might confuse some future people answering your future questions :D

Oh and hey, have fun! im a bit jealous of you for just now starting to play, you have 8+ years of content (compared to singleplayer) to discover! 😛
