So GTA3 crashed on me while playing with graphic settings, and now RGL is asking me to install all three games despite having done so last night :(

the launcher STILL has this bug? Man I remember it happening to people with RDR 2 back when that launched., they had to redownload the entire game iirc. Crazy it still happens.

LMAO! That's a bridge too far for me. But my plan is this: I will wait for the physical copy to be released, and then a few weeks after that, I will start looking for it used on eBay or from Amazon private sellers. This way Take2 doesn't make any money off my purchase, since I will be purchasing it from someone who is presumably done with it. I have the funny feeling we are NOT going to have to be waiting very long for deep discounts.

 

Think about it. Seriously! Review embargos are still in effect, but I have the feeling they are not gonna be pretty. Take2 knows this, otherwise why not send out review copies early enough to at least coincide with the launch? Because they want to take advantage of name recognition and selling huge numbers of copies BEFORE anyone knows what these games really are. Man, I hate to say I told you so, but if you look at my posts for the past week, I totally called this. Not only review embargos, but also the anemic trailers and screenshots released before this Whatever Edition launched.

 

All of this adds up to one thing in my book: Take2 wanted people to buy this Trilogy in the heat of feverish anticipatory excitement, without really knowing what it was. They wanted this game to sell solely on the back of the GTA name, nothing more.

That's a ways off, my friend. GTAO is way too much of a cash cow, as you already know. Plus with E&E coming out in 4 months, that will delay VI even more. There is no way that Rockstar will launch E&E for the PS5/Series-X and then not give the title at least 2-3 years of being the top dog in GTA-land. If I had to guess?

 

GTA VI will come out in 2025, giving the current gen of consoles at least a few years for all the kiddies to buy their Shark Cards.

Oh man, yeah, not only do they need to fix the bugs that WDS caused, but it would be more than appropriate to fix the bugs that have been part of the game for 20 years.

Yes. 10 years ago, actually. Or whenever it was that they started development on the 2014 GTA San Andreas Mobile and "HD" port to Xbox 360 and PS3.

All you guys are doing is looking for issues because you expect perfection as if it’s GTA 6. I’ve played the game for 7 hours now, yea I’ve noticed a few bugs that will most likely be fixed but thankfully I don’t have OCD for Rockstar’s Games remasters

Didn't know expecting a game to not be buggy on its release day is considered OCD

I played the first few missions of III and VC, the experience is hands on ten fold better than any of the OG editions with all the mods. The bummer is San Andreas won't LOad because of the RGL service problem.

 

Definitely worth it on Day 1 Price for 3 games, but if $60 meant something to me I would probably wait for a sale.

 

On PC -DX12 command line argument works much better on a HIGH-END GPU, why not an option or default is beyond me

 

And as far as the 20x zoom defects and the one Milla frame Snapshots, really you don't actually see that if you are playing the game.
