Is GTA Online developing into a Gta 6 online metaverse?

Is GTA Online developing into a Gta 6 online metaverse? I think every sign points in that direction.

 

GTA Online is constantly evolving through updates and now we are already on the next generation of consoles and are about to release the improved version of GTA 5 and the online mode.  Of course, Rockstargames does not intend to simply re-release a version with improved graphics, but will of course also use the opportunities to fill the world in Los Santos and around it with life. More stores, more walkable buildings, new Aparmets and so on. The usual update shema of the last 8 years ran the same, new walkable objects and so on. So logically it goes on like this.

We now see in today's market that all the major movie studios and video game developers are focusing on the so-called metaverse and putting enormous sums into the development.

Do you think Rockstar Games will use this opportunity to turn GTA 6 Online into a kind of online metaverse and will the current GTA Online develop into GTA 6 on the new consoles?

I think that Rockstargames will stick to its vision and merge all GTA titles into one big part. The old parts of the GTA series are not improved without reason. 

 

Also, Rockstargames has shut down the original websites of GTA 1 and 2 in the summer of 2020. an the website GtaMiami.com is online and leads to all Rockstargames Titel

GTA Online is currently filled with many elements from the real world. Dr. Dre in person, Solomun Dixon and many others.

And some other young yet unknown artists from the blockhain music are already working on new projects that include in their titles , Los Santos , Vice City and other keywords.

 

The entire gaming market and industry is currently focused on creating a meta-verse. Here is a small sample of the studios that are already working on it:
Adobe Photoshop- Epic-Unreal Engin-Quixel- UNITY ENGINE - NVIDIA WB Games- EA-UBISOFT-TENCENT-FIFA-PARAMAOUNT PICTURES-ACTIVISION-NINTENDO-FACEBOOK MICROSOFT GAME STUDIOS- SONY PLAYSTATION-ADIDAS ............................

Artist Like Quentin Tarantino ,Snoop Dogg ,Lil Uzi........... and many many more are already making Metaverse NFT Art.  These are only small examples.

 

 

And here comes the point.

 

GTA HAS EVERYTHING A METAVERSE NEEDS AND THANKS TO THE NEW CONSOLE AND STREAMING SERVICES IN GAMING, A GTA ONLINE METAVERSE IS VERY VERY LOGICAL. I THINK ROCKSTARGAMES WILL TAKE A DIRECTION TO GROW GTA ONLINE WITH IN GTA 6 ONLINE AND THAT GTA 6 ONLINE WILL DEVELOP INTO A METAVERSE IN THE NEXT 4 TO 5 YEARS. EVERY DIGITAL INDUSTRY IS JUST GOING INTO THE BLOCKCHAIN METAVERSE WORLD . WHY WOULD ROCKSTARGEMS STAND THERE IN 4 YEARS WITHOUT A PRODUCT AND HAVE ITS RANK AND NAME TAKEN AWAY ? I THINK EVERY SIGN POINTS IN THIS DIRECTION .

 

 

I do not want to spread misinformation here nor share rumors or alleged leaks but just discuss with you and hear your opinion if GTA Online could evolve with GTA 6 and create a metaverse in Rockstargames style.

Absolutely not lol. GTAV sells 5 million copies each month like clockwork for last 2+ years and made $250 million just last quarter, $275 million the quarter before that. So it literally made more money in 6 months after 8 freakin' years after it's release than God of War did in it's first year. The LS Tuners update was their most successful update yet. It'll easily live another 4-5 years with proper support and VI will most likely come out in the meantime by 2024-'25.

GTAO is virtually unchallenged in the industry and other companies are scared to go up against GTA, so there ain't gonna be any real competitor any time soon. Even if there is one they'll have to fight against 8 years worth of content, the existing playerbase and the GTA brand itself so it'll not turn out good for them. And they need to make a GTAV first with all it's systems and complexity to even think of something like GTAO. I'd bet that GTAV will outperform most new games coming out next year.

I totally agree with Zapper.
Rockstar delivers the best gaming product worldwide and it will stay that way for a long time!
Nevertheless, I would like to refer the topic to the (very likely already in the appendix) GTA Metaverse or let's call it GTA Online 3.0.
This is just one example of what animators are making fun for their fan base!
The metaverse is in its teenage shoes and is slowly learning to sprint.
Rockstar will take it to the stars! ROCK * STAR .

It's just a buzzword executives love to throw around. GTA6 will still use a newer version of the RAGE engine and most content in GTA Online wasn't built with compatibility in mind. They would have to start anew and call it GTA Online 2. Except for maybe vehicles, since Rockstar could port them to GTA6 and have them featured in single-player. Also, the next title would take place in a different city than Los Santos, yet the new city would definitely be more dense than Los Santos. Same expectation as yours, but simply a different city.

Kids who haven't played it before might purchase it for the first time, but I was speaking about online, I don't have the impression that there are a lot of new players joining, or more and more people are playing GTAO alone or with friends only. But how long further will GTA5 attract new players?

A game with dwindling player numbers cannot sell this consistently over that long time. Hell, it literally sold 40 million units within last 2 years. Online player count is at an all time high this year which is pretty crazy if you ask me and they still have a next gen version coming which will boost the sales again.

And they'll almost definitely announce VI within next 2 years which will inevitably have a strong online focus. Unless they f*ck up VI monumentally, GTA will still remain virtually unchallenged for a long time. Just look at how many big AAA urban crime games came out in last 10 years, let alone something like GTAO, you'll be able to count the number in 1 hand and then again V made more money than all of them combined.

I totally agree with you about. They are currently overtaking the old titles in order to get better handling of the data again.
I'm a 3D gaming artist and I'm in the penultimate semester.
It is completely normal to revise the data now and redesign it from there.
Of course, new cities will be added and not only one but also the old ones will return in 6.
The Metaverse story only means that you can take things from the real world with you into the game, that is,
a bridge from NFT marketplaces to your inventory in GTA 6 Online.
Every game manufacturer is currently working on these interfaces.

I've been following the whole blockchain thing and the development of NFT and its gaming environment for quite a while.
Rockstargames is definitely working on 6 Online to have this possibility on licensed partner NFT marketplaces to offer items,
that you can import into the game or earn in the game,
level up and send to the marketplace and finally trade.
An example from Activision, who are working on the fact that Sieler can offer their leveled weapons for trade.
The whole thing has to work legally retrospectively and that's where the majority of Lobys' work is at this point.
The development of the environment to enable something like this has been going on for a long time and is about to go into beta.
@Tez and the Rage 6 will overshadow everything the industry has to offer.!

But that changes things, or rather everything. You probably don't understand what a metaverse means in the case of GTA, because it already exists. Example A. You buy with sharccards credit and buy with it an O.
