Heist Month Kicks Off with Double Rewards on all Five Original Heists (4th November)

Yeah - if they're locking a different racing livery behind completing a different Heist each week (and possibly never making them available via other means in future), then that's just a bit crap.

 

I'm not so bothered about the Fleeca Bank one for the Cypher, but there's the faux-Cyberpunk one for the Comet - if that's going to be locked behind completing something like Human Labs (which I'd need to do with randoms, so RIP...), then that's taking the piss somewhat. Not to mention Forza Horizon 5 just launched, and I'd much rather spend my time getting stuck into something new, instead of grinding out the same old stuff from half a decade ago just so I have those customisation options available to me in future.

Almost tempted to come back to LS for the OG Heists. But then the little voice in my head pipes up: "90% failure rate with randoms. Remember the failure rate. Remember how it makes you miserable and makes you hate people. Rememberrrrr..."

 

At least it's not on R* this time around. And I suppose it is getting on to that time of the year where I come back to warm up for whatever the update will be this December (although I suspect that whatever it is will be somewhat half-assed since R* would've been focused on E&E for most of the last 6 months - you know, until they pushed it back because not enough people are on PS5/Series X yet. What, you thought it wasn't ready to go? Oh, it is - just that releasing it now will only make them a few hundred million instead of the billion+ that R*'s alien overlords demand). 

 

Ah, screw it. I can always turn it off again. Cue engine rev, tire screech, gunshots & sirens. Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more...

The rest(if any) will be locked behind the Doomsday, Casino and Cayo Perico. Based on "Heist month" each week will rotate to a different heist genre

 

Honestly I pray that Doomsday unlock is tied to Act 1 or 2, there is NO way in hell I'll host act 3(work has me depressed and stressed enough!) and people just flat out suck at act 3 finale in general(Or y'know start with only me cause apparently being 1,000 makes you a god and they're penny pinching to avoid a third )

I completed 3 Prison Break finales in a row I believe (with a random number of setups between) , heist business is strong.

 

Also the PB finale worth 1 million on hard, money is trying to talk.

 

EDIT : well, here is a fourth PB finale in a single attempt and all setups done. 90% failure rate not so much sometimes.

Honestly even without good players it was never 90% for me, both ends are still common.

 

I only do 4 players OG heists with randoms so the failure/success ratio is different.

 

They can stay 2x as long as they want, I enjoy all those wins and people are happy.

I have mixed feeling about FH5. On one hand: Viva Mexico! Big new map with desert roads that remind me of my favorite roads in Hot Pursuit & NFS Rivals. On the other hand: Most of my favorite cars didn't make it from FH4.

 

I'll give it a shot when I can and see how that goes, but I'm not holding my breath.

Me, @Crateman and @VitoCorleone1992 are trying to find 4th player for cm on pc, but it's hard to find reliable players who are interested in og heists. Skill is not a key to succed given how we have more tools (like toreador, explosive mk2 sniper) with every update so it's way easier to try, but patience and consistency, because you can't finish all the heists in one day if you don't play for more than 5 hours. Also you need to find someone who can play at the same time period rest of us play and that's late night european time. I can be flexible in that regard right now, but i doubt rest can due to real life obligations.

But all of that wouldn't be an issue if there is more interest for og heists, even on double people don't have incentive to play them because cayo and casino made everything else obsolete. I have more than 100 GTAO friends but few of them are actively playing and probably moved on to other games while if i ask some players in lobby they think it's too much of a hassle to try and there is also subjective concern that at least one player will abandon challenge half the way which won't be the first time as it happened to me in the past. I know three of us are reliable and play almost every night but potential random 4th player can't know that. 

So in the end if we can't find someone for weekend we probably gonna play heists with various randoms but without cm challenge as this is great opportunity to find someone because heists are on double but even then they are not worth it for majority and those who are seasoned players probably have ptsd fro prison break finale and emp delivery .

Dang in on PS.  It’s so hard finding consistent reliable people.  It’s partly my fault because of my schedule though.  Hopefully I can find some people before the week is over.

Good luck, i think it might be easier to find ppl on ps and more forumers here are console players so you might try to ask here.

It is amazing that with Heists being out for over 5 years, that so many still don't know how to run them.  Even with all the OP vehicles, weapons, etc released.  Hell I remember hosting a Pac Standard finale once, and 2 people quit out cause I went the safe route of player saved outfits instead of some cosplay suits.

I joined a Pac Standard - Signal job last night.

 

Headed up to the 2nd set of seasharks and got a couple of texts telling me to join the others at the first set or the job will fail, apparently. In clear English so there was no miscommunication too. I text them that there's a 2nd set and to either follow me up or just come up in the seasharks they're at and that I'm a very experienced heist player and not to worry.

 

Got called a dickhead for ruining their job and the host quit. Even communicating is too much for some, lol. 

 

I love randoms though. Far too rich to care when it goes wrong, but when it goes right, it's magic.

Nobody knows, but you need to complete all of them for 500k. Just to be sure, better to host them if you want that 500k, but if you just need money there is a faster ways that will take a lot less time like cayo heist.

Just re-read the Newswire, and yeah, that seems like the implication: "The next four weeks mark a celebration of GTA Online’s Heists, kicking off with the scores that started it all."

 

That's ...weird.  I guess that putting the exclusive unlock behind Fleeca is to make it less of a pain in the ass - but yeah, that doesn't bode well for whatever they do for Doomsday. And since I've never bothered with the Casino Heist or Cayo Perico, I guess I'm going to pass up on whatever they lock behind those.

Casino and Cayo Perico finales are cake though(Especially Aggressive. Combat MG goes BRRRRR!)

 

Doomsday Act 3 just makes you pull at your hair and scream as you eat your armor and snacks dry only for somebody to die(again) and you've got no way to replenish!
