Favourite IV era Protagonist?

Outta the 4 Liberty City protags we got to play as in 2008 & 2009 (Niko Johnny Luis & Huang) which one did you enjoy playing as the most? For me Niko's an obvious no brainer but Huang's a close second favourite since his dry sarcastic dialogue cracks me up every time i go back to play CTW and his sense of humour reminds me a lot of Niko's with how he takes zero sh*t off nobody and is ready to call out even those closest to him on their bullsh*t. Johnny was cool too until R* ruined him in V and Luis always came across as a bit of a stick in the mud despite how fun TBOGT was compared to IV & TLAD so for me it's:

1) Niko

2) Huang 

3) Johnny 

4) Luis

Niko. Got attached to him the most easily though maybe thats because I played as him the most

We got to know a lot about Niko in the course of the game, from his motivations in the story to his various views of the world in hangouts. Things like him playing along with Brucies shenanigans, being a cynic to Romans optimism and an optimist to Dwaynes cynicism, the way he could be this intimidating psychopath and also like a gentleman around Mrs Faustin and Marnie, he was a very interesting character and more importantly one you could easily get attached to and root for.

 

Johnny was good he feels like the GTA John Marston in some ways but I simply played as and got attached to Niko a lot more. Luis has grown on me and i like how he sticks by those close to him despite receiving a lot of crap from some of them for being 'Mr Downtown' but he is probably my least favourite among the IV trilogy, just found the other two more interesting

 

Never played CTW much so no opinion on Huang but from what I have seen he seems a bit of a smartass lol

Ya know what? This is a very good question! I really like all four of them to quite a large extent. However, Niko would have to still be my all time favorite simply because he was the IV era protagonist who started the whole thing off. He’s also extremely well developed and overall fits the perfect description of a GTA protagonist IMO. Johnny Klebitz is also a great protagonist IMO. He feels like a true biker badass and is very similar to Niko in many ways. Luis Lopez is a very underrated protagonist IMO as is Huang Lee. So yeah, good thread, man. It can easily make anyone put on their thinking caps.
