Imagine you‘re an executive producer at R* - you have the power to put ideas and plans into action.

 

Some co-producer comes up with „how about Trilogy: Online“ - and you tell him to note that down. Now you have a brain-storming with your fellow designers and programmers after a couple of days and collect ideas.

 

Now it‘s your turn, if you‘re interested in such a project I want you to reply to this thread and write down the way you would design that project. Would you publish a single client for all of the 3 games, or publish seperate clients for each game? Would you allow players to open their own servers or would it be all official servers from rockstar for each game mode such as freeroam, missions, roleplay, etc. What about in-game purchases like Shark Cards on GTA: Online? After all you don‘t want a game that‘s enjoayble ONLY, but also a game that brings in some money, so it can profit and stem the costs of running everything.

 

Share your thoughts, I‘m grabbing my popcorn.

I would basically copy what GTA Underground:MP did where players can interact with each other and freely travel between other maps because we already sued them so they can't do sh*t about it

Me: "Remember Moodymann? That Detroit house DJ you guys have included in GTA Online twice? Seems like it's nice to work with him. Maybe we should give him another shot, but for Trilogy."

Doe: "Alright, Mr. @[Ambient], what is the idea?"

Me: "We will make a Cayo Perico Heist/After Hours style update, which will add nightclubs in all three settings of the Trilogy, each location has its own radio station dedicated to dance music..."

Doe: "But San Andreas and Liberty City already have their own stations. SF-UR and Rise FM, respectively."

Me: "Scratch that. We're going to leave them as they are. We need another bunch of dance stations for The Trilogy. Anyway, what I was...? Ah, yeah. Each location has its own radio station dedicated to dance music, and... there will be missions. Missions for those nightclubs centered around providing supplies, DJ's, et cetera."

Doe: "But why did you mention Moodymann then? Don't say you want to make him appear in the GTA world once again. People hate his character in GTA Online. People hate his gangsta-wannabe personality there."

Me: "Listen, Doe. If Kenny gives us a money shot, then it's worth continuing the friendship with him. And yes, we WILL bring Moodymann back. He WILL appear in Liberty City's part of the nightlife update, and he WILL get his own goddamn DJ set on a brand new dance music station for this city. You don't kill a golden goose, Doe."

Doe: "But... It may ruin our relationship with GTA and Rockstar Games communities around the World."
Me: "Shut your mouth, Doe! As if I give a sh*t about the communities. What I give a sh*t about is my wallet, and my brand new Mercedes-Benz limo! We WILL make Moodymann reappear, we WILL make him mention Detroit numerous times, and we WILL make him try his best to act like a gangsta with a package of the best slurs we find. And listen, Doe. This is an order! Like in the Army! Execute it! Or else, you're gonna end up like Leslie Benzies..."

Doe: "Yes, sir!"

Me: "Good."

I hope the UE engine isn't just a wrapper. A coop mod would then be 100% possible

Considering the backlash, I really don't think anybody would play it. But then again, they're still playing the existing Online component in droves.

lmao they didn't ever bother improving the audio quality nor any Gameplay features, what makes you think they would make a whole Multiplayer ?

If GTA Trilogy: Online is released, it's good, but... those who play Multiplayer Mods like SAMP, VCMP, LU may lose the player's champion. Multi Theft Auto, this one must give R* a deal first that it will Anyway, because Multi Theft Auto uses Open Source system which is different from RenderWare system that SAMP, VCMP, LU are using.
R* By the way, how about ordering to turn off SAMP, VCMP, LU? Kalcor and AdTec have stopped for sure and mod players lose more championships than playing R*
