Is there any way to link the steering wheel to the hands or stop automated steering?

Like how the weapon is always linked to the right hand? 

Link it to the left hand when steering left and link it to the right one when steering right. 

I ask this because I've replaced the driving animation and GTA SA uses automated steering where when steering left, the right hand comes off the wheel and steers left beneath it while the left one doesn't move and vice versa which is absurd. 

For it to function correctly, I have to steer left first,  and then steer right so I can't steer in the same direction twice without this bug.
