Here's why you shouldn't be looking forward to the remasters

First of all, history showed us that we should stick to the old ways instead of accepting "new" things. You shouldn't try to fix something that's not broken. The GTA games are old and "remastering" them is pure idiocy. They're going to turn out way more broken than the originals.

 

Rockstar showed us that they don't care about their games anymore. They're now trying to appeal to the sensitive liberal society. They're gonna cut out all of the stuff that's considered "edgy" and "offensive" today. Get ready for all the n-words in GTA SA to be cut out and replaced with, I don't know, "black friend"? Because that's what SJWs want you to think, that there were no n-words in those games. We already know that they changed one of the textures in VC that showed a Confederate flag. This is pure censorship.

Now, let's take a look at the Grove Street Games website. They're saying: "We believe that the more diverse our team is across gender, culture, geography, and gaming tastes, the stronger we are." Do you really expect a good product to be made by a team that's "Strong In Diversity"?

 

If you want to play GTA the correct way, buy yourself a PS2. This is how you experience those games the way they were meant to be played.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Personally I keep an open mind and I will probably wait for initial reviews, gameplay footage, and feedback/bugs to be removed/improved. As Niko once said, perhaps here things will be different.

I agree that removing 'edgy' or 'offensive' material would be both hypocritical of them (e.g., killing a prostitute in a drive-by shooting is more acceptable / less unacceptable than killing a transgender pedestrian?), and yes ridiculous (e.g., the very nature of GTA is in itself edgy). If they do remove particular content just to be apologists or popularists, then I would seriously consider boycotting it because removing this kind of content is just another PR, look-good feel-good initiative to try to appeal to / to offend less the so-called woke portion of society.

If I understand you correctly, then I agree that the quoted statement would again just be another PR, look-good feel-good initiative. But, diverse teams can actually produce better results than less diverse teams. I think some people call it 'neurodiversity', which really can be better for productivity because you get a wider range of talent onboard. But I agree with you that removing 'edgy' content and trying to appeal to the woke crowd, and trying to use a diverse workforce to appeal to the masses, would be outrageous. After all, this is GTA - like anything, if you dislike it then don't play it.

Which "SJW"s have said any of the things you're claiming they've said? I'm pretty sure most SJWs don't care about GTA and that there's no campaign for any of the things you've mentioned to be removed from the games. They just removed a flag from a character's shirt most likely because places like the Apple store have a rule against it and a random shirt isn't worth the hassle, calm down.

So to confirm, you think Rockstar should have a policy of not hiring women, gay people, trans people, Muslims (or all religious people?) or non-Americans? You know that Rockstar was founded as a British company and literally all the games are written by a British person right? How did he manage to write about American gang wars???
