Yep. The map looks fine, but everything indoors and outside is tinted orange.

Just now rebooted and it's back to normal. It's day time now in game, maybe it only occurs at night?

 

And I killed a slasher last week but can't find the Twilight Knife shirt. Where is it supposed to be?

Seems like it’s only at night.

 

I spawned outside of Arcadius with my Buzzard and almost ate sh*t because of the UFOs, flew on the MKII for the spaceship parts Business Battle and by the time it ended the weird tint was only around until 8 AM in game.

I was just messing with you.  It’s for Halloween.  The sky changes colors at 1900, this affects the lighting inside too.

 

You will get the shirt within 72 hours after logging in tomorrow.

The twilight knife shirt is/will be under the special shirt category in the “movie” selection.  If you already have it you most likely won’t get a notification.

The stall is definitely longer than usual, I took a jet back to the city after stealing a crate from the Clucking Bell Business Battle crate and winded up having my Hydra just plummet to the ground and explode despite being in hover mode! Didn't even know one was at the observatory but I saw quick enough to hit the hover, didn't know it'd kill me usually it's just a few seconds! lol

Do slashers spawn back for the player after eliminating all of them or they're gone for good?

 

Because I'm trying to find again the Jason Voorhees look-alike, but he doesn't spawn back for me, even after changing session many times.

I had the clown spawn twice, killed him both times. It is RNG that they spawn and target you.

Ive gotten the Jason dude twice, and ive had the clown 4 times. So yea, you can get them more than once. Had the psycho and driver once each.

This Halloween event is the best thing added to the game in a long long long time.  Why it took so long????  I was on an air craft carrier when it started...the waves were huge and the lightening was incredible.

My wife was stealing blue Sentinels and storing them in Eclipse tower while in passive mode. When she walked out of the garage, a slasher came up, and she panicked because the weapon wheel wouldn't open. He ended up killing her. I was really surprised slashers could spawn AND kill you while in passive mode.

The whole UFO stuff was kinda underwhelming,to be honest.If they bothered making these UFOs for Halloween,at least they could have done a proper alien invasion event.

It would be cool if,instead of just flying over buildings and doing nothing,they flew over highly populated areas such as the Oriental Theater, the Del Perro Pier and the Legion Square,spawning a squad of 10 aliens armed with Up N Atomizers, Hellbringers, Widowmakers and Rail Guns,which would be gunning down NPCs and you'd need to take them out,gang attack-style.Maybe they could even spawn them over gang areas like Grove Street, Rancho Projects and Stab City,so you could team up with a gang to take out the aliens (or engage both in a three way shootout).

They could even use them to make a reference to RDR Undead Nightmare,by having UFOs fly over graveyards (from what I know,there's one in north-western part of Los Santos,and a smaller one near a church next to Route 68 in Blaine County),spawning 15-20 zombies in the graveyards,which would attack the player on sight.

In fairness, looking at how well received this was, I wouldn't be surprised if it motivated them to add support for more complex occasional events with actual ped spawns and stuff. (proper alien invasion in 2022?)

Hope so. Personally I am grateful for anything like this in such an old game. And am surprised it took this long to do something along these lines (unless you count the annual snow event). Always wanted the game to have periodic, temporary events like this. They wouldn't have to all be silly ones either. Earthquakes or floods or such would be fun too. Riots, maybe.

I'm not so sure, buddy.

 

The reason that this Halloween fortnight has been so refreshing is because of how stale GTA has become over eight continuous years: same city, NPCs, spawning cars, etc.

 

But would you be happy if it was like this all the time? Crazy weather and green skies, stalling vehicles, being attacked by random NPCS? I don't think so. Keep these events to one-offs and for special occasions like Halloween only. I think we're all happy with that.

 

Actually, I think Rockstar went a bit OTT over the weekend with the UFOs: I counted seven around me at one point. While I was driving about, I saw poodles and chickens too, a flaming car, a slasher and... I wish there had been some zombie hoards and crazy Nazi death squads too, lol!

 

Congrats, Rockstar, for spicing things up a bit and showing us that you're alive and kicking, but let's not turn GTA into full on pastiche, please. Yes, GTA is an irreverent mix and parody of society, but it's also unique in its own way and more than just another version of regular shake and fries.

Are the UFOs supposed to? I really don't think it does. I'm not seeing them anymore.

 

I read somewhere that the random "slashers" were supposed to last until the 3rd, but I can't get any to spawn after trying for hours and hours, and I no longer see the lightening effects that happened at night. Wouldn't be surprising for rockstar to call it "halloween week" but then remove all of these encounters already. Are any of you still getting the slashers to spawn?
