Definitely the suburbs, especially the ones y the airport. Loved exploring the new estates and buying property there on my first play-though.

The rich houses up in the north with fast cars and green plants.

Also my girlfriend lives around there, which is why it's my favourite area. Oh, and the golf course.

The three of us should be neighbors someday. ❤️

Prickle Pine. It kinda looks like the place in the All Star Music Video.

I just watched the MV again. Brings me back to my childhood and my "dream neighborhood". Also feels like the neighborhood I live in, except most of the houses here are gated, but our hood doesn't look that upscale.

I usually stay around the Las Venturas strip, there are casinos, there are some cool cars like the Hustler spawning there.

On a PC version,I also hang out at the industrial and rich areas on the north of the city, cause I modded the Italian mob and Russian mob to spawn there,so they fight and have shootouts when both spawn in the same place at the same time.

The Strip is the most exciting, the suburbs are the most relaxing, the airport/industrial area is by far the worst - the frustrating air 'races', not to mention a mission like 'Free Fall', are too imprinted on that area for me!

Every time I watch that music video it reminds me of those upper class suburbs in Guadalajara.

It represents a reality that basically never existed, jeje.

This was the beauty of GTA San Andreas' map design. Most of the neighborhoods were a mix between real life-inspired and purely fictional. They basically just looked at photos of the cities and made up their own layout and added their own twist of the neighborhoods.

Oh definitely, Rockstar's map design philosophy usually follows this with a few minor exceptions. Compare it to WD2's Bay Area as an example which is fairly realistic but at times feels it lacks that artistic touch.

Liberty City is the perfect example IMO, it feels like any Northeast US/Canada city but closest to New York.

Exactly. I have made loooots of maps in Far Cry 4/5, and I always put my artistic touch to it. It's one of those maps that look like recreations, but with a dark/creepy undertone and some paranormal portions here and there.

GTA SA's map had more artistic touch as most of the areas worked well with each other. Not so much with GTA 5, even though it has artistic touches into it. The map is almost as senseless as real life the way areas were designed.

In GTA SA, areas really looked unique. In GTA V, some areas feel similar to each other.
