It seems the ballas take grove street which is why in gtav they go to the Grove and CJ selling chalked up yayo.(hood safari) Also, franklin and Lamar are og family, which is why their hood has green graffiti and why Franklin always mad at Lamar for trying to get balla work. However, it seems the og families are in such bad shape they have to work with ballas and damn near get killed to survive.... Until Franklin shows up and pretty much kills all the ballas by himself and ends up in a mansion for his trouble. So as far as San Andreas is concerned, GTA v has some answers. After the events of GTA III, the cartel was severely weakened from Catalina’s death. Same with the Kasen Yakuza with the deaths of Asuka and Kenji. As far as the Leones are concerned, Joey Leone becomes the new boss of the crime syndicate. Toni Cipriani became the underboss and Luigi Goterelli was promoted to a capo. They found Claude with Maria Latore and ever since the death of Salvatore, both of them have targets on their heads. The gunshot that you hear at the end of GTA III is a Leone crime family assassin shooting both of them after finding them. That’s all I have for now, unfortunately.
