Small details you want to see in The Definitive Edition

For me it's not the most obscure thing, but I really want to see the intro of Vice City recreated.. with a really well remastered theme.

I also hope the ambient/echoey sound design of GTA III is kept, where you could hear the train during loading screens and so on.. the way the gunshots echoed and everything. The atmosphere of that game is still incredible.

Era accurate License Plates, and even then specific plates, e.g. Police Plates, Biker Plates, etc. Rockstar partly did this for SA, LCS, VCS, IV and V, but the ones we've seen so far on DE seem to be all over the place from inaccurate to bland. This is a VERY SMALL detail but I do feel like it's something that adds to the lore of the setting, there's even a good custom thread on them by @WildBrick142:

To be fair, the license plates in the original were ass, and even GTA 4 license plates were fail because they all had the same LIBERTY CITY on them. It was absolutely immersion killing. GTA 5 had the best license plates in the series, period.

The GTA SA license plates are roughly period accurate for California; sadly they're all by city rather than just San Andreas (an error made by the original R* North team) - unifying them under 'San Andreas' would go a long way. GTA 3's license plates look the best IMO.

As for small details... I really hope that the environments overall feel a lot more "alive" than they did in the originals; mostly it was just pedestrians walking around and not doing a whole lot else. I doubt these games will have the same crazy attention-to-detail NPC interactions compared to say, Watch Dogs 2 or Red Dead Redemption 2 (both of which set the gold standard in this), but something more like GTA 4 would make the environments feel a lot less dead. R*'s press release did mention "living, breathing worlds", so it makes me think a lot of work has been done in this regard.

Another thing... PLEASE tell me that they've introduced a proper physics engine. I don't want to see the lame ass death static animations. Perhaps the GTA 4/5 physics wouldn't work, but maybe something more like Mafia 2 or Watch Dogs where the physics are a bit more "flat" yet are relatively realistic.

I also hope that dead bodies don't just disappear after like a minute; this was lame back then, don't bring back a technical limitation because the original had it.
