SmokeySeven Posted April 10 Share Posted April 10 (edited) So my original problem (1.0.7.0 download error, same as @Tavo G) solved itself, but the Downgrader just doesn't work on ANY version. No matter which version i pick, no matter if i use the PlayGTA.exe or launch through Steam, no matter if i use the Online or Offline Downgrader, it always ends with a black screen on startup. It always gets stuck at around ~490mb of memory (in the Task Manager). I guess the game is just broken for now. Update: lol i fixed it. Set GTAIV.exe and PlayGTAIV.exe to run as administrator and disable fullscreen optimizations (under Right click -> Properties-> Compatibility) and in Change high DPI settings set performed by: Application. Now go to %APPDATA%\Local\Rockstar Games and delete the GTA IV folder (I think this is the step that actually fixed it, the folder contains your savegames, the games cache, and its settings). Just make sure not to alt-tab while the game is starting or it will crash and you can delete the AppData folder again, to fix this set DoNotPauseOnMinimize to 1 in ZolikaPatch.ini (located in the games plugins folder). I tried to downgrade to 1.0.7.0 today with 1.1.1 and it fails every time when it starts the radio downgrade edit: Same issue when trying to use version 1.1 again edit 2: Issue is SneedsRadioDowngrader.zip. The online version doesn't really work atm Hey man, when I used the IV Downgrader, selected all the mods I wanted to install along with the Radio Downgrader (New Vladivostok + Old Vladivostok) along with the Commandline.txt and no other mods and plugins/scripts installed, it worked. One problem though, when I clicked PlayGTAIV.exe or GTAIV.exe without any shortcuts, the game wouldn't start. Any fix for this? I've tried 3 fresh installs over the last few days and running out of patience Followed the instructions from https://youtu.be/ObvIv5Q-8zU, used the latest offline downgrader to downgrade to 10.70. Selected all mods, ran the game in admin however as soon as the loading screen tries to load the second image it crashes. These night shadows work perfectly with vanilla Steam Complete Edition.. You can set -availablevidmem to the actual MB of available video memory that you can look by running dxdiag or just put in 4096 since you probably can't even make this game use that much. It has more or less every option for restoring cut songs: choose to combine all radio stations in all three stories, choose whether to add the three exclusive stations from EFLC or not, choose which version of Vladivostok FM to have (or have all combined), and choose whether or not to apply a "no EFLC music in IV fix". I guess that "fix" keeps EFLC music out of IV but I don't know if it keeps IV music out of EFLC. I wouldn't call it a fix because Rockstar always intended for all the songs to be combined, it was only ever separate in EFLC because of licensing and DVD capacity and now it's all combined in the digital Complete Edition (except for the cut songs).
