There's your problem, you're not suppose to launch GTA IV with PlayGTAIV.exe.

 

You're suppose to launch GTA IV through the Steam shortcut for the game not directly through the executable itself since the downgrader configured a command in ZolikaPatch to launch the downgraded installation through Steam.

It doesn't matter if you try to launch GTA IV via steam or just the PlayGTAIV.exe because steam itself also just runs the PlayGTAIV.exe so there's some other problem here why his game wont start

It doesnt work either dude. Some guy said. download cracked version it will work like a charm. I tried steam downgrade 6 times without any happy ending. maybe i will try my chances with pirate version.

Are you using the latest downgrader? (Version 1.2)

The problem is solved, I just ran downgrader with admin rights

(I'm using the fitgirl repack so it's probably a fault of mine) After downgrading the game, I ran the .exe file but sadly it didn't work, and even after I somehow got it to run, I get a blackscreen after starting the game. Please help :(

I'm also getting this error on my end, and when I try to run as admin, the downgrader doesn't even let me choose 1.0.7.0

How do I uninstall all the contents of this downgrader even the files the exe of the downgrader installs please help I don't like extra stuff slowing my PC down downgrader worked just wouldn't play correctly with the mods I wanted

Tried V1.4, still not working. This time it at least let me choose 1.0.7.0 when running it as admin.

Also made sure the problem isn't the fact my game is on a different drive by moving it to the same drive as the downgrader. It crashed at the same step.

That makes sense, i didn't even attempt to read the error message. After doing this and getting it to install, however, the game is stuck on the character art showcase loading screen with no error message or anything.

The downgrader works fine, but the game doesn't. Chose the 1.0.7.0 version without the radio downgrade and without any mods (yes, I just want to have it purely GFWL) with the Steam version of Complete Edition. After trying to launch the game through PlayGTAIV.exe, I get the WS10 error.

EDIT 1: 1.0.8.0 also doesn't launch (under the same circumstances), but this time it gives me the WTV270 error.

EDIT 2: 1.0.4.0 finally allowed the game to launch, but with an asterisk. Even though I double-checked the mods to install none (so no XLiveLess, Steam achievements, etc.), said XLiveLess has been installed anyway. At least that's easy to remove. EDIT 3: Aaand removing XLiveLess gives a WS10. nice

Downloaded this downgrader with hope that i could finally manage to install Project2DFX and play without any issues, but this downgrader didnt helped me much more than other ones that are out there, when i install said script my game refuses to launch and my steam status just quickly jumps from being ingame back to online. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I downgraded my game to 1.0.7.0 and installed dxvk on top of essential mods and script

Did you download the older version? Newest version is meant for 1.2.0.43 of IV (latest) the older one is meant for 1.0.8.0 and below.

Does anyone have issues with the emergency lights, all the LED lights rotate and the firetruck lights has incorrect light color in the back for me. Does anyone know a fix?
