Will Psycho Killer make the remaster?

I was meandering along the discord and I found this """""list""""" of cuts coming to the remaster. Probably fake because no source, but we do know that Phil's confederate flag got removed from his shirt (I hate the confederate flag but it made sense with Phil because he's a dumb redneck and he gets his arm blown off) and the list brings up another good potential target for a cut; Psycho Killer, where you chase after and kill a psycho fan who's also a crossdresser. Will the mission probably be cut entirely? Will the target just be a regular looking person and not a crossdresser? Or will the original mission stay in remaster regardless?

They aren't cutting it, 100%. That'd be plain stupid. I'd say it's a toss up between changing the ped or leaving it intact. It's hard to say that I am inclined to say that one is more likely than the other. It's a 50/50.

Doubt they are leaving it intact when they even removed the confederate flag so some woke fools don't get butthurt. They will just replace the crossdresser with a "normal" dude

This character was never implied to be transgender. In fact he can barely even be described as a crossdresser, since he's wearing women's clothes at least partly as a disguise. Whereas GTA V, still basically a current game, has humour about actual transgender characters which is much more potentially offensive. So I don't see any need to remove it.

Yeah, I always assumed Love Fist (or "Loov Fist") probably had a restraining order against this psychotic stalker, so he put on a hilariously bad disguise to get close.

I don't get the american obsession with the confederate flag, If you really want to narrow down the flags purpose to being a symbol of slavery, you might want to take a moment to consider the type of human rights violations "Old Glory" made its cameo appearances in. It's not like we're talking about the emblem of the KKK.

Furthermore GTA V still allows us to dress up Trevor in a dress so are we really going to believe they're going to gut a mission in an almost 20 years old game just because it has some guy who wears female clothes as a disguise which is other wise not really that important to the story? 

 

Oh they removed the Confederate flag on Phil's shirt. The definitive edition will now be rated G.

I was always under the notion that "psycho killer" was disguised as a woman in that mission to get to Love Fist's show. Offensive? Really? This wouldn't be the first Rockstar Game which takes dig at transgender references. Like someone pointed out above, GTA V has a lot of those humors which are actually very offensive. And then we got Trevor wearing a dress. If all these hasn't budged T2 or R*, I don't see them axing the mission. Worst that can happen is for them to change the player model to a male model instead of cross-dresser.

Really you dont get americans obsession with a flag that represented  a bloody civil war? Technically the north virgina flag  was never used by the CSA ,but it was used during the civil rights era especially by george  wallace's campaign. George Wallace campaigned on segregation/anti civil rights for blacks so small wonder he chose a csa  flag. It makes sense for Phil to wear it though I could see him being suckered by the lost cause myth.

That's some of the questions which can/cannot answer without upsetting a group of people or not. I remember when Trevor wearing that dress sparked up a ton of controversy on reddit, journals, message boards and even facebook (do we even see meaning conversations there these days?).

I think the issue is more how the flag is used by white supremacists and people who won't stop whining about how they lost the war 200+ years ago tho. Not only that but I remember there being an actual thread to debate the confederate flag in the modern day in D&D that a conversation like this would be more fitting for

Yeah, the thread went astray, but that begs the question: "Where should one draw the line?". I mean, almost anything can have political proportions, if you try hard enough.

I consider myself progressive af but I still think it's stupid that they are censoring this game. I'm guessing the pedestrians with stereotypical Japanese accents won't make it into this """"""""definitive edition""""""" either...

I suppose the game will be moddable though so some things can be brought back hopefully.

I don't think removing the Incest Pride flag is necessarily a huge deal, even if it's sort of pointless. It's what it's removal symbolises in my view, mainly the potential of other sh*t getting changed in order not to offend people. Definitely not something I agree with considering part of GTA's success was built on being edgy and controversial.

 

And they could have gone with way better than just some sh*tty looking skull ripped from Google Images.
