GTA3Freak-2001 Posted May 23, 2003 Share Posted May 23, 2003 Ok I just rang up my local games store and was shocked to be told that the game doesn't come out until June 12th, now are there any Aussies on the forum who have been told similar things because It is suppossed to be out today. I know its wrong, but hey, why the heck should we have to wait a month or 2 longer for a game? I own it on PS2, and have purchased it for PC. I did the exact same with GTA3. Nobody will be getting hurt, i have my copy on preorder, but i knew it wasnt until june-ish mark. (My father works in the warehouse , and i get them wholesale...) The thing that pisses me off is why do we have to get it a month after the rest of the world, it was understandable with the PS2 version as they had to go back and edit the game but the PC version I assume like GTA3, all the copies were basically the same and the game should remove the hookers when it detects your regional settings. With the PS2 version, i got the sh*ts. I went and ordered a New Zealand copy... it took too long for us to get the game. And it wasnt the fact they had to edit it, they had a few releases saved without things they thought wouldnt offend them. I think every release should be like The Matrix Reloaded. It came out in the US, then a few days later we gave it here in Australia. Also, it would decrease the amount of warez since i alot of people would get it so they didnt have to wait. Maybe i should get this one from the US or NZ ot soemthing aswell.... it is dearer though (Instead of wholesale, i pay more than the $AUS to start with, then shipping....). It was 100% worth the extra $15 for the PS2 version though... getting it a while b4 release and being able to pick up pros..... and the cover is black so it matches my GTA3 version. My dad has his lunch near the shop, and on the way past, he saw them way off in the corner of the shop. They cover has glitty on it, you see. He rang me at home and asked if that was what I wanted. Harvey Norman have it set for the 6th or 12th of June (i can't remember) but that one cost $99.95AUS. This is only in South Australia & New South Wales but i am pretty sure its everywhere else too.
