Looks bad.

That's the "worst" looking of all the train screenshots though, the others look much better, so it's probably a different platform at much lower settings.

Looks like the original to me!

New Screenshots! 👀 🎉

I thought I'd throw together another couple of quick comparisons so I could have something to compare to them. Here's the first screenshot in the original game:

They've definitely increased the vehicle density. My understanding from the original game, at least on PC, is that a maximum of 8 traffic vehicles can spawn at one time, and it's possible to keep those vehicles in memory using glitches that will in turn prevent traffic spawning from across the rest of the city. The above screenshot shows 11 vehicles.

And here's the second, without the cops but I did throw in a cop car and I've since set it to later in the day and turned on the sirens:

Here's the original one I took of this:

There's less to see here but worth noting that comparing the Police Helicopter to yesterday's screenshot, it appears that the string of letters and numbers at the back seems to be randomised and unique like license plates.

Edit: Looking closer, that string of letters and numbers on the Police Helicopter appears to be the same across the screenshots!

Wow. Don't get how anyone can say the new screenshots look bad compared to these og screenshots

We've seen the updated Police Helicopter three times now across the screenshots:

If anyone was interested in comparing it to the one in the original game, here are some screenshots of it:

Looking much closer to the Maverick from the newer games now, but it still does sport some similarities to the original. I mentioned in the last post that the string of numbers at the back seemed randomised but it appears that I was wrong about that, now we know what the string is I can make it out in the first screenshot and it's the same, and that same string also appears in the original game.

The obvious differences are the "Police" text doesn't seem to be there (maybe it's on the bottom like the Maverick?), it's now black to be consistent with the other police vehicles in the game and no longer white and blue, also seems to have actual blades now instead of that blurred texture on top :p

I'm curious... can someone find the Xbox version? Those were also in high res, and dramatically so.

The original PC version always had a very blurred look with textures. What an oversight.

I hope nobody takes this as a offense, it's not my intention. So I apologize in advance, just in case.

Claude looks a bit feminine in this shot.

Here's a closer look at the alley in Ghost Town on the PC version of the game, outside of the cutscene:

The most obvious change is the wall at the back now uses a brick texture, but seems like everything in the shot has been touched up. The real question is whether we'll be able to fly there in the game 👀 :p

There are men with feminine facial features, lol. Biology be like dat.

But yeah, the GTA 3 models in general had this weird muggy look to them, and looked kinda cartoonish yet realistic, it was weird.

Hopefully one of the former two. I never liked the Xbox redesign.

Idk why but GTA 3 looks a hell of a lot better with that lighting.

It adds to the night time feel.

Here's a rough comparison to that screenshot from the PC version:

I guess someone already collected the Hidden Package, so we don't get a sneak peek at what they look like 👀
