These buildings still look blurry, need to be heavily textured. This is a big improvement over how it looked but still, it may look good up close. However, it should still resemble that from a mile away.

Thing is, they don't look like this in the actual screenshot. Sounds like footage from different platforms or stages of development to me:

I was going to post exactly this but didn't because some buildings on the right side are cropped out.

 

But your point still stands, the buildings that haven't been cropped out are still more HD than in the trailer. Hopefully, this isn't because the camera is closer in this screenshot.

Selective Color on Photoshop. It's not saturation. It's color grading, color correction.

Maybe it has something to do with UE texture streaming issues. It is somewhat common and you could see it in SW Fallen Order or FF7 Remake. Rm5jyO6.jpg

I doubt it, since texture streaming bug usually happens if your HDD is slow or if Texture Streaming option is set to Low.

I doubt that R* would run this on lower settings for trailer, not to mention their PC`s used for development must be using SSD`s either way.

 

Probably different development builds between trailer and screenshots!

This is a rendering bug of the original game. Here how it looks in original:

Doesn't really matter what the tint is on each game, you can just alter it in real time

I think it would get boring really quick, I know I am comparing the graphics too here but the blue tint will get annoying rather quickly.

Joey and Misty look like f*cking idiots in the remaster. I hope that people will mod the sh*t out of these games. You can't translate low poly models to high definition by basically taking the old models and making them rounder and smoother. That's not how it works. 3d models are not textures that you can upscale and enhance with AI and other cheap tricks. It takes a bit more work to make it look right

Well, but that's not the point. Misty was in the original, a "well preserved prostitute in what concerns health", she is quite beauty too, and in the remaster, well...not so much and feels like she's into crack (which was just a joke from me).

His model imo is not as bad as some of the others. (Salvatore)

Best model in the whole III/VC/SA trailers and Screenshots. Hope SA clips shown in trailer are from beta or something else GTA 3 looks the best hands down!

That reminds me, given the extent of map improvements, I'm assuming the parking lot Easter Egg is probably/hopefully gonna be something new :yee:

Yeah, i've seen this kind of LOD in some Unreal games now. I think it's a builtin way to easily create these kind of objects instead of opening up 3DS Max and recreate every single file just in lower quality.

Yes, it's faster but looks way worse. The only hope i have that this is a temporary solution, so it doesn't f*ck up with the retouched objects that have all these reflecting lights.

Thanks to the full image from IGN (thanks for the heads up @SquoniX!), also compared it with the original. I really like how the buildings now have proper emissive lighting, it makes the city feel much alive and less dead. It also seems the pavements were also completely reworked, overall it's a complete and night difference upgrade. Not really sure about that brick texture, however, that needs a little more work on the UVs.
