While I like the style I will agree that Tommy does look very strange. If I were to pin it down I'd say he should have a different nose, more Roman like and should probably have arm hair, looks to smooth otherwise. 

He might look so fat as a remnant of the old models with those huge blocky limbs. I think it's pretty clear they had to work from the original models rather than make something completely new maybe because of the original mocap data?

Man, I am Punjabi and I find it hilarious. He looks like your typical Arabic or Indian/Pakistani Punjabi Jatt. Pretty much all my friends said this. He doesn't look like your typical Indian/Paki but more like a northern Punjabi.

 

It is not racist and you can't compare the flag thing to that joke, he does look weird now.

To be fair, this isn't the first time VC gets censored, if one recalls the whole "No - Haitian fiasco".

But again: Subtleties like "criminal organizations are usually divided along racial/national lines, and are thus portrayed accordingly. That DOES NOT mean we/you should be xenophobic scumbags!" seem to elude the average person.

Also: I don't even think Nu-Tommy looks Indian, he looks like a fake tan - Dude Bro to me, they even changed his f*cking nose bridge to be less "roman"... The opposite of "diversity and racial representation".

Edit. I have to say, though, much of the environment seems to have seen some real improvements, without messing with the overall aesthetic.

Maybe they add in definitive edition, that was something devs never thought of implementing before SA because of the limitations now it makes sense to have all the three games get similar mechanics!

I know the lighting has improved, but in the origional the Neon would blanket the whole screen which looked great, now it looks a lot more confined to just around the light itself

Yes, there are many improvements but vehicles may lose many details, for example Dodo no longer have any details in its wings. Except added lights.

It's because colour balance is overall warm on the original, but on the DE it's only skin.

• New texturing (some PBR)

Wait a second! On this screen Tommy doesn't have buttons on his shirt, and most importantly, he has fixed sleeves. Soo... why is his model on this screen different? Will his in-game model be different from that used in cutscenes? Or maybe this confirms my theory that trailers and screens are a mish-mash of different beta versions of the game.
