Vice City looks great, but Tommy looks too friendly. I fear that his language is too rough for his face.

My guess is Tommy still wont be getting any swimming animations since there's again no spots for him to climb out. Judging by the golf links anyway, which is all meant to be island formations. But it's still cut off like some kind of canal.

should be easy to mod since all three games likely have the same code, so it should be easy to add things like bikes to gta 3, swimming to vc etc. although rockstar will add that stupid auto-update feature to effectively stop mods altogether

It's annoying grovestreetgames turned Tommy into a Disney prince. I hate that Tommy's expression went from looking like he's constantly pissed off to looking like he's pleading to the other assholes to do this heist with him instead of TELLING them they're doing it.

Well, I can't say it doesn't suit him because it actually does.

He sure looks fat in that Hawaiian shirt. I hope that it's not the final result and it's just the video making his skeletal structure like that. Tommy looks quite better in the soiree.

 

As much as I like the daytime graphics of this remaster, the reflections are not upto my expectations, especially at night. The ones on grass look too unreal to me.

I don't really see the feminine features. What I see are the lack of wrinkles. Why? Doesn't make any sense, he looks like a toy figure now.

I know Rockstar would love to be compared to the worst case scenario (considering they took down the other options and DMCA'd/sued any fans working on improving those) but I really feel like you can see something got lost in translation when you look at the game modded (just the "basically required mods", to be precise SilentPatch, SkyGFX, Project 2DFX & the widescreen fix) compared to what R* cooked up

As per their own comparison this is roughly the same time of day and honestly the difference in how pleasant it is to the eye is massive. Is the remaster technically more impressive? I mean yeah, it's running on an engine that's at least 13 years older than this game. But it really just doesn't capture the same atmosphere - and I can safely assume that the radio stations will not have the original songs - kind of makes me wonder what am I paying 60 dollars for here

I guess this is a PS2 vs. PC difference. They likely used the PS2 draw distance as a reference in the trailer.

Exactly. Could they have done better in 2002? Yes, by all means. Does it bother me? No. Why? It's not out of place.

They have clearly tried to make the 3 games look different. Vice City always looked very cartoony, even at the time, so they have given Vice City a cartoony style. It never looked realistic to begin with, not even in 2002. Whereas San Andreas looked a little more realistic so they have maintained the more realistic look with the remaster. All 3 remasters seem to match the art style of the originals pretty well (in terms of character design)
