The only negative I can say is that I don’t like the look of Claude but that’s about it.

Explosions cast shadows which is pretty cool. But they didnt lie, they kept the original style and feeling but the lighting etc. is much better

Yo I actually think looks pretty much how I imagined it. The OG games were a lot more cartoony visually than more people like to remember or admit. This just seems like a straight upgrade. The only thing that weirds me out is that GTA 3 is a bit more colorful than it should be, but I'm not opposed to the slight change.

 

I dig the vibe here.

Im very happy with this even if it does look a bit strange, 

 

GTA 5 palm trees in vice city dont look good to me, it looks like one of those gta 5 mods.

 

Also volumetric clouds it looks like!!! Gonna be amazing flying through them in san andreas

I think it's about right, a current-style look would be jarring, and would demand a ground-up remake for each one. I'd rather have more R* in less time

Vegetation looks a lot more detailed, seems kind of fitting in SA but quite out of place in 3 where it contrasts highly with the rest of the environment (in Vice City the big bushes seem gone?). Overall the main differences I can see are character textures, lighting and reflections. 

 

Personally not a big fan of the changes, all these realistic reflections and shadows make the rest of the game look like rubbish. It's like two different graphical styles coexisting that don't go hand in hand with each other. The hair on characters is a lot more 'detailed' unlike the rest of their appearance, and their skin is oddly shiny, making them look like plastic toy figurines. 

 

Doesn't convince me overall.

yea, shots like this are what they should have promoted more. This looks amazing, i dont understand why they put the picture of tommy looking like a barbie doll as the first image you see
