I'm not sure that's actually reflecting the cabin of the heli; I see it more as a really dark tint on the windows that's reflecting the road. Could be wrong though?

I'm used to Tommy now but he still seems like the "weakest" of the three new models, the proportions of his clothing don't quite fit right. However, I'm beginning to think that maybe it will be received better in motion once you're playing and have got the music and the 80s vibes going - the style could be getting a bit lost by these screenshots in the fact the visuals look very modern but it's set in a decade where clothing was indeed garish and padded.

The suit he wore in the first screenshot they released looked better, the Tracksuit reminds me of a poncho for some reason. GTA III looks great, San Andreas has got a lot of love. Like you said, it could be just the screenshots for VC and the angles. I hope PC gets to Pre-Load tomorrow.

Can they just take Vice City out back and put a bullet through its head? Why is it being treated like some bastard child? How does the DE screenshot have LESS details than the original??? I almost respect San Andreas DE for sticking the closest as they've not messed as much up character wise.

bahahaha these 4 words sum up my opinion of the whole thing. It seems like every screenshot I look at it's always "yeah this looks really nice at first glance but here are some really obvious things someone should have caught and fixed before they actually showed it to people". I feel like I'm gonna have that reaction a lot when I see the released product.

It looks bland because of the new lighting, I think, it shows out all the items more distinctly now.

 

 

The pocket is there, zipper, I don't think there was one unless you could correct me. I don't think you can see the watch if he is weaing a sweatshirt on top of it.

Why is it so flat and blocky though? It doesn't even look like a tracksuit to me lol, when I first saw the screenshot it took me a solid second to recognize the outfit.

Don't give me that excuse, it's a bad model that's been smoothed out way too much.

 

 

Notice how in the original you can tell it's a jacket and NOT a hoody as there's a zipper line there? Notice how the pockets are more detailed on the original where they're just a smooth line on the "DE" version? Notice how there's ruffles and creases in the original model where as the "DE" version it's just a smooth slab of nothing?

 

This brings me on to another point btw:

 

The license sticker in the window! One, why is it a bad upscale of the original PC one? This detail was even remade on the Xbox versions back in 2003...

 

 

WHY are they upscaling lower quality textures for things that are already available in better quality? AND two, why does it have a normal map? It's meant to be a sticker on a window, why is it out here looking like a fully ridged licence plate?

 

There's just soo many underlining quality choices here that throw the whole damn thing off and distract from the good.
