As for them not showing more stuff I kinda have a feeling due to the new lighting system and they don't wanna spoil everything, such as the Venturas strip.

If there's news tomorrow we could see different screenies, hopefully.

100% - fixing the nails and adding proper texture to them would make it 1000x better

Pretty much that. If they show too much it kinda breaks the surprise. I prefer it like that.

Plus, it's not like we can't see defects in the already seen screenshots.

I don't get all the criticism coming out about this when it isn't even out yet. We've hardly even seen enough to get a full opinion on how the games will be. We all know what the games are.. A lot of us on the forums were hyping up the original releases of these titles back in the early 2000s. Knowing what these games are alone is enough for me to know I'll be buying the DE. Like @sutalu just said, it has Rockstar's approval which is essentially a quality seal. But even if for some reason they just ported them straight over, these are still games worth revisiting. Paying $20 per game is well worth the new coat of paint being thrown onto these classics.

But on the very same screenshot CJ have that poorly upscaled jeans texture. That inconsistent really bothers me, its like day and night contrast at this point, absolutely unacceptable:

 

 

At least I hope that others clothes for legs will be better quality, on some others screens they actually do.

Yeah CJ's jeans is probably my only point of "criticism" in that shot, everything else is looking class. Sweet's house wall doesn't look like any simple texture upscale either, it looks like the same original texture but super high res, I'm assuming they had the source for at least some of the environment/building textures.

 

That touch on the spray can is pretty nice too.

Shirt here looks good, as does the texture of the jeans, but why are the front pockets stitched on from the outside like that? I've never seen that before lol. Tbh I'm into the whole clothing aspect of these games, dressing up the characters etc, and it doesn't seem like they have a great knowledge of textiles and clothing design.
