The tweet Mach showed was taken out of context, GSG probably felt the wrath of the community (its great they interact a lot but I suppose there are some reasons why R* isn't so open :p) believing it at face value and they had to delete it. 

 

It seems to me they were making a joke about future games having even more cars because the list is ever growing, but people started thinking that meant more cars in the trilogy.

Also, it's pretty interesting that there are over 600 cars in Online - no wonder that most of them suck.

GTA Online unfortunately follows that stupid philosophy more=better. Imagine those Vice City/San Andreas styled import/export missions in Online where you have 600 alike looking cars in the game...

Yeah this is how I read it too, they're just joking with how each installment has progressively more cars than the last. I really doubt they would slip up like that if they really added more cars for the DE. They are clearly being very careful not to talk about their version of the game on Twitter, most of their replies are just gifs and memes lol, it would be very odd if they accidentally leaked 'more cars' like that. Just a joke that got misinterpreted by the community so they deleted it to avoid any confusion.

Are we sure that audio will get a remaster too? I mean playing GTA 3 with HD graphics while there is a compressed to hell sound that goes "DING DING DING DING DING" won't do it justice lmao.

Why do people feel the need to defend this remaster? Did some people actually like the mobile/HD ports of San Andreas enough to develop a personal bond with Grove Street/War Drum? Or have they been pressured to play these games by an older brother but never could?

No because they have un-compressed audio (most likely) so they won't remaster it, they'll just use what they have

They could release gameplay from each game of a specific mission, that would be perfect.

 

The devs of the Crash N.Sane Trilogy did that a few weeks before the game was out. They made a poll on social media asking which level we wanted to see a full -uncut- playthrough of. It was great to see how the game ran.

I hope that is the case. Funniest sound effect is when you crash your car into another in VC. That sounds like jet engine lol.

Agreed. All the secrecy and silence is stupid. These are not full remakes - they are simple remasters of 20 year old games . Just release info fast.

Weren't all those GTA 3 multiplayer maps found after a decade or so? Maps like the sewer, under construction building, etc.

We've got one whole week to get out the way now with possibly more info to keep what ever sanity we have left and then it's the week of release. we're so close! I've been doing my best to fill the time until then and it's working so far!

 

I truly hope people won't be disappointed with it - though I'm rather confident it's gonna do well.
