Isn't it one single item in the library?

some crazy stuff that crossed my mind

the way rockstar is selling these games on the launcher is borderline illegal on brazil

say you want only sa, you need to buy III and VC too in order to gain access to sa

it seems to be 3 separate games, right? 3 separate downloads, 3 separated installs, 3 individual products, but you need to buy all 3 even if you only want one

it's called venda casada "marriage sale"

It's Product tying, can be illegal yes, but not in every case. And I guess penalties are not very common in video game industry.

It's being advertised as a trilogy remastered though. They aren't saying " Please buy Gta San Andreas remasssaaa"  Maybe if their advertising was misreading. But it's not. It's pretty clear

All three games have a flamethrower for instance. Wonder if they'll have universal sound effects across the board?

Would it be weird if all the games had similar copy and paste sound effects?

I'd imagine stock sounds that were used for 80's movies (20th Century Fox and Universal Studios comes to mind) for Vice City and The General Series 6000 sound effects that were popular in 90's media for San Andreas. TGS6000 was released around 1991, so that fits.

Just thought about the new water in VC. I mean, it looks nice, but it's not transparent, which makes sense since there is no detailed underwater landscape like in SA. But aren't we getting to see the cement shoes guy, ship wrecks, sharks etc.?

In fairness they're probably hearing the same thing from 60 different sides constantly on social media, here, and perhaps more emails. :p

That and Grove Street Games isn't the only developer behind this project. Who's to say that Grove St did the character models and not Rockstar? Or it's likely a collaboration between both. If more than one studio is involved in the development process, why should Grove St be the one addressing public feedback?

Do we know this for sure? If that's the case, Rockstar are doing their best to downplay their involvement. In their reveal article, they didn't say it had been made 'in collaboration with GSG', it says '...The Definitive Edition has been adapted to modern platforms by Grove Street Games'. I got the impression it was exclusively their project.

That would make it even worse.

Store fronts mention it's developed by Rockstar Games and adapted by Grove Street Games.

Grove St obviously played a major part, but I'm sure Rockstar oversaw the development process.

Are you sure it's not just published by R* and that's what storefronts are referring to/misunderstanding? They are a publisher as well as developers. But yeah, obviously Rockstar had to greenlight and approve the final product, but I'm doubtful from what we've seen and heard that they actually had any hands-on involvement with the project. On the official Rockstar website, under 'game details' > 'developer', it says

'Developer: Rockstar Games, adapted by Grove Street Games'

I think they mean that the source games were made by Rockstar, and the 'adapted' means all the work that is involved with the remasters was done by GSG.

i'm not the best to help with this topic but i can tell a few from google:

  • minimum consumption rules at bars/restaurants;
  • cinemas prohibiting outside food;
  • internet plans with additionals things you never asked for;
  • etc.

like i said, my knowledge about this subject is a joke so i'm probably saying bs, but the fact is: those things happens A LOT around here.

it's been a while i'm trying to cancel an antivirus signature (???) that comes with my internet plan which i found out recently lmao (this is literally the 3rd topic above)

I can’t wait to see the bodies being spewed out of the back of the combine harvester in GTA: San Andreas this time. 😄

To be honest, in this DE shot most buildings textures look mostly the same for me, just some minor improvements, maybe because of lighting strike and night time.

But otherwise there's definitely improvements, especially in the lower screenshot part.

With all due respect for your personal work, but how much obvious can it get? :

" Originally developed by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been adapted to modern platforms by Grove Street Games using Unreal Engine to make these classics more vibrant and more immersive than ever, celebrating the legacy of the series that redefined interactive entertainment and helped propel video games to the center of culture."

I'm not actually sure which is worse, that company making it by themselves or in collaboration with the original creators.
