Nearly 3 years since RDR2 came out

Isn't this crazy, guys? I cannot believe it's already been nearly 3 full years since the launch of this wonderful gem. Truly the game of the year material. I started playing originally when it came out in 2018, but only for a brief 30 minutes. I couldn't work out a controller at the time, been a PC guy for most of the last decade and this one. I took a break and didn't the pay the game much mind untill it became available with pre-ordering on Rockstar Launcher in 2019. November 5 2019 was truly special. Logging onto the game and witnessing all these beautiful things in the most wonderful graphics ever to this day. That was the day I had seen the quickest response from Rockstar EVER. First 15 mins of playing was fine, then the fps became so sh*t, then not even fully 30 mins in Rockstar released a patch that fixed the framerate issue. Truly a wow moment for sure. Then I ran all the way from Armadillo to Blackwater (I had no idea how to call my horse). What was your first, if not first couple of times like?

I completed the first chapter the first night and then did more or less exactly what I said I was gonna do, which was take a train ride around the map. I ended up having to take the train to Emerald Ranch and ride it from there because the train didn't show up while I was waiting for it. I rode it all the way to Riggs station, and then ended up falling off and getting quite lost. Once I regained my bearings I headed down to Tumbleweed for a drink at the saloon and was promptly killed by the Pinkertons before getting anywhere near there. I tried to get there a few more times before I finally went to bed.

One of the greatest games of all time. I was a huge RDR 1 fan (still am) but RDR 2 completely blew my mind. Arthur Morgan is probably the greatest Rockstar character and i still find new stuff whenever i play it even though i finished the story long ago. Amazing stuff.

@Cutter De Blanc I remember completing the first mission the night it came out too. The next thing I did was head for the swamp to check it out. Found a snapping turtle and rode around with it in the back of the horse and found the blind man for the first time. 

 

Also, where did @BretMaverick777 go after the game came out?

I played like a madman from the first mission to almost chapter 3 before I realized I was playing way too fast.

So I deleted my save and started over.

Spent 100 hours and was still in chapter 2!

 

I have only finished the game twice and have never got 100%, yet.
