How do I keep getting one-shot while defensive? redux

I personally use never without one that gives me some protection from the headshots . Sometimes it gives me a least a warning but if they use explosive which they usually do nothing will ever stop it . If someone wants to sneaky headshot you there’s nothing can stop it . Being defensive won’t help you me and amy encounter players exploiting defensive  Mode all the time using it to grief but it dosnt stop us from making them leave the lobby . Maybe you should attack first bola as direwrath says or kill and ride of into the sunset laughing

For people that have no intrest in PvP they should always be in it. Seeing some little sh*t nugget icon immediately going into Dead Eye and then stamping his feet and throwing a tantrum when Paint It Black does not work amuses me very much. Even better us when they charge towards you with their lasso or knife and do that little hand movement and then just stand their trying to work out why it didn't work. 

I rarely get involved in pvp, in fact I never get attacked. However defensive mode is terrible and does not work as advertised. There is no reason to ever be in defensive mode.
