Nope, you just need to make a mission that fits the theme and abide the rules.
However voting is different, you need to either be a trusted member (have talked to other members a lot and they know you well) or have an account that is 4 weeks old and have 20 posts.

@jereckdown We also (generally) allow participants to vote even if you're a new member. Rule to keep in mind is that you're not allowed to vote for yourself.
