If they haven't by now I don't think the sales of the remasters are going to sway their decision. I feel like GTA V single player DLC is more likely than them telling a new story in the 3D Universe. The old staff are all gone now, and I bet not a single person at Rockstar or Take Two right now gives a flying f*ck about whether the Definitive Editions are more polished than the originals as opposed to how many copies sell; that dude before saying he's gonna bet all his "virtual money" (whatever the f*ck that means) that we get a San Andreas Stories is gonna lose big time. I'll take his bet and go all in with a fortnight's paycheck that we get no more than two patches for any of these Definitive Editions and even then there'll be new game-breaking bugs to watch out for. That's the realist in me talking. I want to be an optimist, I love the 3D era, but what we've got from R*/T2 in the last ten years as opposed to the ten before that has been pitiful. But we can all hope for more remasters. Sure the old staff like Dan and Sam Houser are gone. I don't see how that affects the definitive edition though. ChumCrumpet Posted November 9, 2021 Share Posted November 9, 2021 I don't know about anyone else, but they could have made a GTA San Andreas Stories in the San Andreas engine in 2007 or 2027 and I'd probably still play it. But saying that, yeah, any story DLC/extensions for the GTA 3D Trilogy is highly unlikely. But since this thread is more of a wishlist over fact sort of thing, I'd love a Liberty City Stories kind of thing set in the 70s with more story about the Harwood Butcher. Exploring Liberty Cities in the 70s or even 80s would be magical.
