Ash Vercetti
I hope they upgraded it too.
CynicalMexican
I think it's worth pointing out that if the aiming, shooting mechanics, etc. are being improved, I think it's fair to assume the physics are being overhauled. It would be weird to have such an overhauled system with the default physics.
Manusia_Kuat
noo it wouldn't happen. look at the trailer where the car and cj's movement is still the same, also the ign have the uncropped image where cj standing in front of the car and we can see the police walking in the background with the same posture just like the original games back then. it will also the same for the other 3 games. S1aveUnit
Being that GTA SA is newer of the three, I think its the most refined game in the remaster. I can't wait to play it first being that SA is so iconic to me ever since I first played it at 16 years old. But I never did finish the entire game like most of you so I can't even remember much. I hope for GTA IV physics, minus the overexaggerated suspension, mixed with GTA V's enhancements of allowing more parts/panels to fall off and affect handling. Having such modern graphics without having more body panels fall off would seem extremely weird to me. I hate how vehicles handle in GTA V. It feels like I'm playing an arcade racer, and as a simulation fan, it hurts. Minus the suspension, I think GTA IV had it done pretty well. Mixed with GTA V's tweaks (not the handling itself), I think that's the winning combination for VI, even if this trilogy doesn't use it. A lot of people here voting against GTA IV physics are purely for the suspension issues. That's only one part of it, not the whole thing. Everything else was pretty much as good as I would expect Rockstar to make it. We're not going to get Beam.NG physics anytime soon. And I don't want a vehicle to explode if it lands on its roof, but I think changing this might take a little too much away from how the older games played. Route126
Ragdoll Physics are definitely possible in the Old Rage Engine. Rockstar has no excuse not to include improved physics. Even simple ragdolls like this mod would be a huge improvement over static animations. ImpalaBoy77
I hope the driving doesn't change if they are just going to make all the cars handle like GTA5. The handling in GTA 5 was way worse than 3, VC & SA. suicidehummer

Technically that's a different aspect. The HD Universe games also have default animations for walking, etc. Static death animations do exist in these games too. They only said the controller layout will be like GTA 5, which means you'll use triggers to drive etc. Physics changing is a real big 50/50. It looks like the cutscene animations are exactly the same and since that's all we've really got to go off, I assumed physics/core gameplay would be pretty much the same (or at least like San Andreas for all three) but obviously until it's out, or we get a trailer, who knows? Yeah, the animations don't say a whole lot, and when it comes to improvements in that regard, it seems to have been limited to cutscenes and facial expressions. Every game has default animations so it's hard to tell about physics.
