Come on dude, it's literally just a stock landscape for one billboard advertisement. There are issue with the remasters, but this isn't one of them.

GSG obviously don’t know much about the lore or about anything 3D era related. I’d just like to have someone remaster the games and respect them at the same time.

They should have just keep the original and replace "Miami" with "vice city", stylized like the logo, which would have made a lot of sense since that's what most fans would have played (in order), but no, they had to ruin it with an off-Universe screen. Really hate how much stuff they used from the HD Universe in this game, the only one that makes sense in the whole trilogy remaster is the new LCPD logo, that's it

Too bad that Rockstar chose to abandon the 3D Universe... It would be awesome to see a sequel in Miami in that canon with some of the characters (Claude, Ray, Donald Love and 8-Ball) returning.

i think the way you could have both is You have Miami, and Vice City is the in Universe version of Miami Beach. Miami Beach is an island next to Miami.  Miami and miami beach are the basis of the 2 main islands in vice city.

 

In 3d universe you have 2 islands (vice city) instead of 1 off the coast of Florida.

Some of the TV segments in GTA4 show footage from San Andreas. For example Poker Stars has clips of Las Venturas, some other bits show the 3D-universe version of Los Santos.

Of course it's for GTA San Andreas (it's along with the other ones) but, the plane just leaving from Vinewood to me is also something else, like the "See you soon!" billboard, again, the plane leaving with that one from the map.

And yeah, aren't we finally leaving Los Santos and Blaine County? The next GTA is on the way. They could've just put 3D Era Vice City there but instead put Los Santos map from GTA V which is the most recent main game and "see you soon".. it's not random.

Yes that too, it's only that one as the billboard plane is leaving to the west. (but that's only because of the original billboard also)

It would have made more sense to add Vice City from the same GTA Trilogy as others have said, but they didn't.

Yeah might be, I didn't remember those but doesn't make a difference to me as the plane is leaving Vinewood again. (Also Casino update had a few other obvious ones to me)

If we ignore anything else and be realistic then I'd say it is CJ arriving to Los Santos? Or could be nothing. Was along with GTA SA (DE) ones, but..something can always have more than one meaning right? So I'll pick that they're sort of hints that we are finally leaving, for the next GTA/location too, but that's just how I see it.

To be honest, I like the new sign better. In my mind there is no such thing as 3D/HD universe. It's all the same bullsh*t to me.
