Based GTA 3 topic.

I hope they add some new interiors to Liberty as well as some small areas or tweaks to the road network, some places just are designed weirdly.

Edited by Mattineu

Shall be finally get usable aircrafts and heli's? And hopefully better in-game physics for the full winged dodo. Ofcourse no motorcycles cause it would be an aberration to the plot but considering that Silent's III Aircraft showed us the possibility, Rockstar should add usable aircraft and save themselves from being sorry ass game developers.

I really can’t wait to play this version all the way through to San Andreas!! I’ve literally just completed the classic version of III and I’m half way through Vice City right now. Big hypes!!!

Do you think they will add bikes?

I believe from a technical point it wouldn't be a problem, but it may mess up with the way you complete some missions.

Same goes for swimming. It probably changes the vibe of the original, so they will not change that.

I hope we at least see a camera like feature similar to Classic GTA SA or RDR 2 and to upload photos to Social Club please :) Can't wait to see the pause mini map too and the color scheme.

Although they said the shooting mechanics are revamped, i hope the classic controls exist on consoles still, as well as the classic hud, i would miss the 100 health and armor in GTA III and VC.

Also hope the cheats will stay, and that the snowy cheat from LCS rumor is true.

These seem realistic enough to wish for.

I am excited to see the map (if they add it ingame) in DE as well. Would be definitely helpful to use it. Too bad that they never made a different executable with a working map for GTA3.

Cheats definitely need to stay. Changing them would ruin the whole idea of remastering a classic.

I can't imagine how people can be excited about the Trilogy, and yet, there's a few of them already in this thread. I'm jealous, I'll admit it, but I just can't relate to that feeling no matter what 😪

You guys are so lucky to be able to feel that way!

because I’ll be able to experience playing the game in an updated way, the way it was envisioned from the beginning. I was 4 years old when gta 3 came out. It was the first grand theft auto I played and it’s stuck with me ever since. Plus, it’s a very welcome change of pace from 8 years of gta v

lol what plot? That motorcycles got banned because of protests? Its literally just a trivial excuse which got never deeply explained in the story so Rockstar had an excuse. Same with the toxic waters BS which is suppose to be the reason why you can't swim but its never mentioned in Vicecity.

There is no reason to not bring motorcycles.

easy describtion:

in the early days you may have some sexy time with some playboy magazines from your dad or whatever

today you can use online sites with 4k HD VR videos for your sexy time

early days: 3/vc/sa original release

today: trilogy definitive edition

I was trying to find more information about this trilogy and this "leak" popped up. I have high hopes and expect these games to be respectfully remastered. Rockstar has had more than enough time. I own all these games for all the consoles as well and play them at least once a month or more...

... My all-time favorite games and I am hoping that they really worked hard on this project.

Here's the link to what I was reading.

GTA Trilogy Remaster - Leaked )

Remember, kids. Don't believe everything you read on the internet!...

I never played GTA III, so I hope this will be good

You'll love it. I was already a fan of GTA and then III released as the first 3D open world sandbox style game with freedom, and that was such an awesome experience through my younger years. And for that, GTAIII will never get old to me. Same with the others.

I wish they would bring back that style of GTA and every year just release new chapters and expansion packs. Realism is one thing but the adventures the older games offered just hit different. And to think, they could recreate GTA III with 800 missions, multiplayer, hundreds of cars, hundreds of guns that are customizable, ragdoll physics...

Endless possibilities...

Yeah, but that's exactly something I just can't understand based on the evidence that we've had in the past decade.

There was a PS3 version of GTA 5. Then came out improved and enhanced version of GTA 5 for PS4. Personally I preferred the PS3 version because of some minor details, but overall they were both pretty much exactly the same. Now we have the Enhanced and Expanded version coming out, and from what I know it too is going to be pretty much exactly the same as the original PS3 version.

Then we had Bullies, one released on Renderware, and the Scholarship Edition on another engine. Again, pretty much the same games.

It just doesn't stack up how R* would release anything that will offer a substantially different experience to its fan base. I'm not saying it's not possible, I just seriously doubt it.

gta 3 had extremely primitive controls, even for the time. Having those overhauled could make it an actually enjoyable enough to pick up and play. 20+ years worth of outdated technology isn’t holding the game back anymore. I don’t think it’s fair to judge ports (bully, gta v) to something of this drastic of a caliber change.
