PSA: Do Not Go AFK in Public Lobby

There seems to be a glitch where everyone in a lobby is teleported to one location.  Not sure the cause of it yet.  It’s happened to me 3 times since last night.  I’m on PlayStation.

 

Anyone else experience this?

you'd have to be pretty dumb to go afk in a public session in the first place. grind your car meet street cred in invite only!

I mean the screen goes black and everyone appears on the map in the exact same spot.  Once was LSIA and then Paleto Bay.

No different location but the first time it happened last night my buddy just hit sell on his bunker.  That must be the cause.

This makes me wonder if it's actually a script bug of some sort if it *only* happens with bunkers, I know it teleports all players, but it could be some glitchy code still.

 

If another players presses Sell on their bunker, you'd be teleported as well, making it look like a modder. Conversely, if you press Sell on your bunker, you'd teleport the whole lobby.

The weird thing is I sold my bunker after him and it didn’t happen so it’s not consistent.

Here is my clip of it.  This is after I was teleported out of LS Car-meet and didn’t know it.

 

Just noticed there was an audible cue right before the screen went black.

Something definitely happens twice right before you get teleported. Right after you re-spawn there seems to be something with property as well:

Didn’t someone post something yesterday about that happening to them as well?  So hitting sell in the bunker is acting like we are being kicked from someone’s property and spawning us all in the same location.  How does this type of thing even happen?

Rockstar pushed a background update yesterday that had some weird change. It replaced a specific event with another one related to teleporting you to your heist apartment. I'm assuming the cause of this glitch is related to that.

Yeah, this is clearly to do with that weird change Rockstar pushed yesterday.

 

It seems everyone is teleported to a garage or an apartment entrance.

It seems to be inconsistent.  Just tried bunker sale again and nothing.

This would actually scare some players who have super high anxiety whenever other players come near them. LoL 

 

It's pretty funny in a way.

or is there some random chance that whenever someone sells a bunker we all get teleported no matter what you do?

Original location was the farmhouse bunker.

Exactly, tried the sale 5 times more after this in populated sessions. Kept getting the MW sale. It didn't happen again but I think I'm going to stick to solo public lobbies in the short term.

No I’m not sure who was afk.  It just teleported everyone in the lobby.

I was losing my mind when you kept spinning the camera (but like why?). Then when he put you down, I was like thank god it stopped.
