Various Pedestrian Actions

In GTA 4, there are various actions for pedestrians, but they, as it seems to me now, lacked variety. For example: pedestrians drink only coffee, read the same newspaper, smoke and walk with bags. The rest of the actions are not noticeable.
This mod adds, corrects and completes unfinished actions for pedestrians.
 

Spoiler

• Actions with drinking have been restored and completed. Now pedestrians can drink not only coffee, but also various drinks from bottles and cans.
• Action with throwing rubbish has been restored. Now pedestrians can throw garbage not only through the car window, but also while walking.
• Improved misc actions. If earlier pedestrians used them only while walking, now when they are standing and inactive, they can reproduce them, also percentage of spawn these actions has been changed.
• Restored action with preening. Now pedestrians can adjust their tie, comb their hair, shake off their clothes.
• Pedestrians reaction on sunny weather has been restored.
• Restored walkie-talkie action for courier, powerline technician, trucker, hotel worker, club security, medic, fireman, taxi, bus and train drivers (the last two makes sence if you use restored pedestrians mod).
• Unused version of the newspaper was restored and fixed.
• Action with reading book while walking has been restored.
• Action with chocolate has been improved. Pedestrians can sometimes eat it while walking, they can also eat it not only sitting on a bench, but also in various interiors, such as hospitals, fastfoods, etc.
• A collision was fixed for the AMB_WINE and AMB_BS_DRINK objects, which made it possible to take and throw these objects anywhere. pic
• A separate group was made for alcohol. It is mainly used by gangs, but you can also see how it is used by ordinary pedestrians.
• Number of industrial workers has been increased by 3 times.
• More actions have been added for industrial workers, airport workers, homeless people.
• Fixed and finalized action with the wallet. Now when a pedestrian is standing and inactive, he can check his wallet.
• Action with ice cream has been restored. Now pedestrians can eat ice cream.
• Added action with hotdogs. Nothing unusual, just pedestrians can eat one more type of food while walking.
• Spawn percentages of some already existing actions have been revised and slightly changed.
• Added more actions to pedestrian hangouts.
• The playback time of most actions has been changed from 9 am to 7 am.
maybe it will be a little off-topic, but I'll add it anyway
• Working hours for service and powerline technician have been changed. Now they work from 9 am to 6 pm.
• Texture quality has been improved for some objects. pic
• Restored idle animation while aiming with a pistol.

Update:
Action with throwing rubbish has been restored. Now pedestrians can throw garbage not only through the car window, but also while walking.

The action with the book has been corrected. Now not all pedestrians can read a book while walking.
Added action with hotdogs. Nothing unusual, just pedestrians can eat one more type of food while walking.
The action with food has been improved. Now pedestrians can eat chocolate not only sitting on a bench, but also in any interiors where there are seats.
Improved misc actions. If earlier pedestrians used them only while walking, now when they are standing and inactive, they can reproduce them.
Improved action with cans. Now pedestrians will not immediately throw away cans, but drink from them for a while.
Once again, the percentage of spawn of some actions was reconfigured.

Actually, yes. All actions are written in ambient.dat

Installed it recently, and I'm impressed with the increased variety of actions pedestrians are doing around the city. Gives the game's atmosphere more life to it.

 

This mod shines at the mission Call and Collect once you're at the location to find the blackmailer

I'm unsure if it could be of any use to this project, but I found a couple 'hold tray' animations in missfrancis2.wad that you could maybe implement for restaurant workers.

Nice find, but I have already tried to use some actions from the missions, one of them is was action with a trolley (which by the way is in missfrancis2), the problem is that the pedestrian is not holding the specified object correctly, and I don't know how to fix that.

Update:
Number of industrial workers has been increased by 2 times.
Industrial actions for nurses were removed. Now there will be no such situations that a nurse is standing in a hospital with a toolbox or plank.
Actions of creating burgers and bottles have been removed. Now they will be created out of the player's field of view.
Some actions were improved for a group of pedestrians (usually two or three people). I can't explain it in detail due to translation difficulties, but you can see them in one of the new screenshots.
Texture quality for the cans has been improved.
The percentage of spawn of some actions was rewritten again.
Added mod compatibility with Potential Grim and Liberty Rush.

It's easier to highlight the parameters that are changed in this mod, I highlighted them in red. You can copy and paste them, or change the values yourself.

Update:
• Added compatibility with Liberty Rush and Potential Grim together, also added an explanation on how to make your own compatibility.
• Restored alcohol in hang-outs (it can be seen on cover of the mod, but not in the game).
• Actions with drinks and food have been moved to "Scenario(HangOut_OutsideLiquorStore)".
• In-game model of the bag Niko arrives with has been restored. Sometimes pedestrians will walk with it only in Hove Beach.
• Bags have been added to hang-outs.
• "Scenario_SmokingOutsideOffice" has been supplemented with some actions such as: reading newspapers, drinking coffee, listening music, and other misc actions.
• Nuts have been restored to the food list. Previously, they conflicted with the rubbish throwing action.
• Spawn percentage was added for these scenarios: "Seat_OnSteps", "Location_ShopBrowsing", "Scenario_TaiChi". Now they will be produced much more often in the game.

I was looking in the ambient.dat file. Wondering why some create animations call for [email protected] when the IDLE and Destroy animations are for Burger? There is no [email protected] animation in anim.img

I was waiting for someone to find [email protected]_CREATE, but this is from same category. The thing is that if I write [email protected]_CREATE the game will play this animation and create an object, but I don’t need it, so I write the names of animations that do not exist, so the game would create an object, but out of the player’s field of view, just a trick.

Update:
• Restored walkie-talkie action for these pedestrians: M_Y_Courier, M_M_Telephone, M_M_Trucker_01, M_Y_Fireman, taxi, bus and train drivers (the last two makes sence if you use restored pedestrians mod).

• Changed spawn percentage of drinking action. Now it spawns less often, and via this other actions spawn a little more often.
• Fixed hangouts with bags. It turned out that I somehow broke it before release.
• Added more actions for airport workers.
• Added more actions for the homeless people.
• Added newspaper action for the cops.
For all this time I was forgot to mention that the mod restores idle animation while aiming, which was made for beta mod, but with other beta actions moved in this one.
It looks quite buggy, but that's not surprising as it's a leftover from an early beta I guess, and it works only with glock pistol.

That's so f*cking great man, thank you. I've listened to the walkie dialogue in the files with great disappointment (knowing it had not been implemented). VPA is the best :cool:
