In my opinion, it would be nice if they brought all the beta content cut from the final versions, according to Vadim M. There would even be the possibility to buy furniture in GTA San Andreas, imagine how much stuff was cut and we don't know about

This made me think, and honestly if the strengths of Postal and GTA combined forces it would be the ultimate video game. A game with as much player freedom as that in a detailed environment like GTA would be one for the ages.

Honestly if this trilogy does well then maybe one day we might get new versions of LCS and VCS (feels like a pipe dream at this point)

VCS isn't happening, if it was it would have happened back in 2016 with a mobile port like the rest. Clearly *something* is holding it back, and whatever it is it isn't budging any time soon.

Its business logic, first R* has to deliver a solid/flawless remakster, then if enough people pay for it i am sure we could see more remaksters in the upcoming years (gta 6 going its own development way ofc)

And what could it be? I've heard theories about licensing issues with Phil Collins and things like that, but it seems to me it's simply Rockstar neglecting it for the sake of doing it. I mean, they could at least have acknowledged its decaversary with a 10-words tweet, but they didn't.

Doubt it, they cut some of the BETA stuff for a reason like that godawful removed Truth escort mission that would net you 5 wanted level stars for completing it. wtf

Well, they also didn't acknowledge f*cking GTA IV either lol. Communication has never been their strong suit, and it's probably their biggest hindrance.

VCS' soundtrack is very expensive, just like Vice City's full (non trimmed) OST. Phil himself, in game, voice, representation in image, missions, etc... would want more money also. The game is just a walking legal nightmare for licensing tbh and very much doubt we'll see VCS without some major alterations or just remade or re-released in a way that will make Rockstar more money than the fees itself.

I have mixed feelings about the OST's. Yes, they were absolutely great but damn... why would they pay millions of dollars if they can just create an "user radio", where you can put your own MP3's or whatever? If you can stream it on YouTube for free? Maybe it made sense 20 years ago, but today from a business standpoint it just doesn't make sense anymore. 

 

And yes, i know it's not the same thing if DJ's don't react to the songs anymore. If you have to put in work yourself instead of just getting into a car and listen to a song you maybe didn't know before. I know it's not the same. But still...
