Just because he worked on actual ports doesn't mean his viewpoint is invalid, if anything he sticks to his word, he's always been open about how modding and reverse engineering has helped actual companies over the years.

It's going to vary depending on the game mate. Unlikely that the Trilogy vehicles are going to be comparable to anything else on Unreal Engine.

imo R* ALWAYS deliver, i know they been milking GTA V and GTO for a time now.

but every new launch they deliver it to the max.

if activision that is a horrible company did a awesome job in Tony Hawk remaster, just imagine the Remaster R* is bout to drop.

Unreal is just the engine the games are built on, do you know how many games use Unreal?

That's not going to be reliant on the default engine physics, especially for a remaster - this is one of those things that's dependent on the devs.

Edit: Or just cars in general.

You can make everything from scratch, quite recently I made vehicle physics from scratch following a tutorial course on unreal engine, so ... I don't expect them to use the built-in vehicle system :sadkek:

Size means nothing Max Payne 3 have 35 GB and its just third person shooter.

 

Saints Row Third Remastered again around 35 GB and its city sandbox.

 

Well almost every game that I played in recent years have around 40 GB .

Days Gone - open world game where you can, among other things, ride your own bike. Probably a couple of stunting vids out there you can check out - other bike games are of the more circuit racer variety - Moto GP 18/19/20 or RIDE 3.

 

Can't remember anything with helos, sorry.

Did Sleeping Dogs use Unreal? I can't seem to find any info on what that game was built on. Feel like it'd be your closest match to see how "bikes and helicopters" would work. Minus the uh... helicopters.

It's not that difficult if you pay attention to the map. If you get a lucky break and manage to make Hillary sin it's even easier. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they let you skip missions after certain amounts of failure or at least introduce checkpoints.

the size relative to the originals means something. you don't go from 8GB to 45 with a simple port, no matter what the game's content is. the reason modern games are around 40GB is because the assets are larger and higher quality. it's not just magic because they changed the dropdown from PS2 to PS5.

i wish rockstar could put soft body physics in gta like that game called Wreckfest. i wonder if it is too much for the 3d era to handle

You are comparing apple to bananas.

 

Seriously games from 2001- 2004 with basic physics engine, basic models, compressed sound effects and max resolution 1080p  to three games with modern engine, better textures, sounds and game models, details and 4k resolution for sure.

 

Thats no indication at all...
