I personally hated the game for a myriad of reasons, and didn't get past a very short play time, but even I have to say that the game is of absolutely incredible quality, with visuals and scenery that is...breathtaking, if I'm completely honest. So, by all means, hammer Rockstar and Take2 for many reasons, not the least of which being their feckless, corporate thuggery, particularly going after modders, who aren't making a penny on their stellar work.

 

But my only objection to hammering the devs, rather than the corporate structure of both Take2 or Rockstar is that, at the end of the day, the devs are the creative ones. They are the ones that want to make the games as amazing as possible, because they are all gamers themselves. If you are a dev or even a project manager, you may have to bend your will to your corporate overlords, lest you lose that awesome job at arguably the most prestigious developing house in gaming. You're not wrong in what you're saying, but I have always wondered what a huge gaming company like Rockstar would be capable of producing if ALL they cared about was quality, and the devs were given the luxury of autonomy to create whatever they want, which I just bet would be a lot closer to what we want, than what the bean counters want.

Thats quite an insight, I'm not blaming the developers themselves individually though, what I'm trying to say is that if Rockstar Games wasn't under Take-Two's wings, they probably would act more or less the same way as they do now.

All rumours, leaks are pointing towards low key remaster compared to sky high expectations.

Some y’all are miserable. My expectations, hopes and excitement are through the roof. Haven’t been this hyped since Red Dead Redemption 2’s launch back in 2018. Rockstar is using Unreal Engine and so far the leaks indicates it’s going to be a good remaster.

Honestly it's pretty easy to piece together what the remasters will be by the leaks that have been going on for well over a year now. if you take everything from the reputable sources and put modern standards of what a remaster is, mainly from the Tony Hawk 1+2 remaster is a good indicator of what will happen. again, this isn't some run of the mill company. if Activision can put the amount of effort they do in their remasters for 40 dollars. Rockstar is not one to take lightly when it comes to in house development vs outsourcing products.

That's why I sit on the fence. I listen to the over- positive and the over-negative people and find my expectations somewhere in the middle. Feels like a good place to be before the reveal!

I agree...seems like we cannot be hyped and with high expectations (mostly Debbie downers and nonbelievers in denial)

as are mine. i tried to keep them down but after the file size leaks and the blurb that @alloc8or provided, i can't see this as being anything short of amazing. i'm also very excited to hear trailer guy say "Grand Theft Auto" again after all this time :kekw:

Can someone please tell me games that are in "Unreal Engine" that have motorcycles / helicopters? I need to see for stunting purposes.
