Normally they drop info ( lack there of anyways ) on Tuesdays and Thursdays but Friday being the 22nd i say that would be our best bet.
still would be kinda funny if all the drop on friday is a tweet saying happy birthday to GTA III

My vote is Friday too. A nice way to say:

 

'Happy 20th GTA III... And here's to 20 more' *trailer drops*

 

And with that, I get in real trouble. The Mrs birthday happens to be on the 22nd too. She's already dreading me buying the trilogy, but if she learns I'm spending any time on her day here enjoying the fireworks if R* do that on Friday, I know I run the risk of a slap or st least a night on the sofa or two.

So is he predicting disappointment in the fact that it won't end up looking like that VC screenshot, or disappointment in the fact that it won't end up looking like just a mobile "remaster" with better controls?

no need to be spiteful over having an opinion - not many of us really have Realistic high hopes. The guy's right though, it's odd for any company, even Rockstar, to not show a product they wish to sell (see their sales projections for this fiscal year) into the stratosphere... This is also Ruffian Games, the studio behind The Master Chief Collection... and we all know how that started.

 

Quit sucking up to Rockstar, a company who has provided the GTA diehard fans next to nothing (besides online content only a fraction of us even want) for the better part of a decade... We have no reason to expect big things from them other than "the file size"

Anyone surprised that MVG would be against a remaster of these games either way? Lol. As a reverse engineer himself he's spoken many times in favour of modding and against remasters, he doesn't really know anything, he just has low expectations, and sure, that's up to him.

I highly doubt the games will look like that.
i am going in with low expectations so if it isn't that normal Rockstar seal of quality and control i can go " eh could have been worse. "
but if it is bad i will still be kinda upset that plenty of good mods died for this.

My main qualm with him is basically stems from the Goldeneye leaks. I don't want to say too much about that. but his info was wayyy off. Especially with saying System Link was broken when it wasn't . But on this topic, he just flat out refuses to believe anything substantial has been done since if something has been shown it would have been shown a long time ago, i just don't doubt a company like rockstar would put a little more effort into the release than some AA company of quake

Yep, this. He hasn't seen the game or anything, just has his own reasons to have low expectations, and that's ok, but his reaction to some screenshot isn't to be taken any seriously, it's an opinion only lol, especially given he thinks the DE will be a failure.

I'm not sure I'd want it to look like that either. It's a bit hard to describe what I see in my head but it's basically the artstyle and general slightly cartoony vibe of the OG games in higher res, and with new lighting making stuff look plenty different. Still think that'll be the biggest visual change noticeable at first glance.

It's mainly because at times, he can be dead on and correct. but then just miss the bullet by a mile the next due to his work. each company's philosophy's and work ethic will differ from company to company so basing that it will be similar to the mobile ports with a bit more shine because of no marketing material is just ignorance all the way.

I been trying to find the article i read the other day that said the game wasn't that big of a upgrade. The article went on to say the most details done was modern control scheme but higher facial textures and animations with a higher resolution for modern systems
basically saying it's gonna just be a ps2 game with little to no enhancements. they also stated the haven't seen the games so what do they know?
