Increasing the draw distance doesn't mean there won't be any FOG, as FOG is something and draw distance is another, better draw distance simply means you will no longer see objects spawn right in your view and less LODs.

 

They can use FOG just the same as in the original along with better draw distance, better draw distance isn't going to replace the FOG.

 

There's also more things they can do with hiding the map, like using blur, adding bigger/dense trees in the forest areas, adjusting max speeds in a rate that doesn't make us cross parts in a fast manner, I'd guess this is something they're going to get right however they approach it.

Of course! The games themselves are only 3gb each, the other 36gb is just a hyper realistic steak.

Juicy 6 billion polygon steak with a 12K texture w/ a full PBR pipeline. And it's not reused between games. Unique steaks for each game.

I have a feeling as @Spider-Vice said yesterday, they might want to do something a little more different on Friday. I'm going to guess they're bring new merchandise and perhaps a live performance of GTA3's music theme?

depends on what kind of news you're looking for - if there won't be any official news, who knows maybe there might be some unofficial ones. i'd imagine they're ready to go live with everything either way

And with rumors stating 2024+ and Jason Scrhier stating that they are legit i really don't expect much.

Most of them. I snatched a few from a SA mod (vegetation only).
Turns out Rockstar reused a lot of vegetation textures in the 3 era.

I'm trying to see if I can later replace all trees with a specific model, but that will require some tweaking to whatever model I grab from the Internet
